I couldn't get these to cut or groove. They just instantly made a super fine mark that my nail wouldn't catch on.

I tried the parting blade on high carbon steel and it blunted instantly. What a disappointment!Maybe it'll do better on brass or aluminum.

I wanted thin to not waste the expensive material I am working. They are that. I will not be using these on steel as I am concerned about the toughness and hardness of the base material.

I bought these to see how they would work for a special project that I needed. Normally I use an 1/8" parting blade with HSS and Cobalt 5-8%. These are so thin that the bottom clearance is nearly a knife edge. I have not yet tried them, but I think if I am careful, they will do the job I am looking for. I don't plan on taking any heavy cuts, and definitely won't want to go too deep. Once I use them I may update the review. But they are definitely what I ordered.
