I loved the concept of just being able to slide on finger protection, and be able to pick which fingers to cover (I do a slavic blind-load for mounted archery and only need two fingers covered). I figured these would be faster than taping my fingers each time. First, while the leather is thick and feels like good quality, it is super stiff, so I literally soaked them in leather oil to soften them up. It took multiple soakings and 'training' of the leather to get them supple and shaped to my fingers. Second, if you're a ground-archer with plenty of time to load your arrow and ensure your draw fingers are placed precisely on the string, I think these should work great for you. They definitely protect your fingers. However, I have split seconds to blind-load (nock the arrow without looking) while riding a galloping horse, and there isn't a good way to really secure these to your fingers, so they just fly off the instant the bow string hits them wrong. I imagine maybe adding some KT tape at the base of the covers to adhere them to your fingers could work, but the whole point of getting these was to eliminate the need to tape any protection to my fingers.

These finger-things work okay if tightened. The leather is very stiff and takes some working-in. I wish that they were full-fingered as the string still touches the tips of my finger sometimes.

These are great with thick protective leather. They are adjustable to fit most adult fingers. Made in the USA! High quality!!
