These are durable, high quality neoprene covers to protect your valuable rods. My rods are constantly going in and out of my truck and small boat and these covers provide a nice layer of protection for the delicate rod blanks and guides. Definitely recommended.

I am using this for 6.6' spinning rods. The neoprene is soft and sized right for eyes used on spinning rods. You can see from the picture that the 60" version comes down almost to the reel. The adjustable retention strap work well for attaching to a reel handle or other locations near the butt of the rod.I think this will be good for travel in a boat or the back of a truck for protecting the eyes and finish from getting scratched. Just remember this does not protect the reel. For this style design this is a good one at a reasonable price. Others are often not wide enough to fit easily over larger eyes. This one fits well.

I don't know why, but I was expecting a thinner, cheaper material. But this is not thin, cheap material. I was nicely apprised to find two really nice, thick, heavy neoprene covers that will grace my fishing poles this summer. They will prevent fishing line from getting caught on things while transporting. They will also help to prevent breakage.

This pair of protective sleeves for my fishing rods is perfect for traveling. We always take our fishing poles with on vacation no matter where we go. We typically store them in our RV shower upright so to minimize any damage and protect the rods and reels. However, sometimes the rods will scratch or mark up the shower or become entangled with something else that is in there as well. These sleeves solve that problem without being ridiculously sized or difficult to store. Each sleeve is easy to use, provides nice protection, and folds up when not in use. Stop using garbage bags or pillow cases and switch over to these sleeves, these will last a lot longer and make managing your rods even easier.

So, as fishing season nears, it's time to check in with yourself and answer this question: "Do I take proper care of my fishing rods?" If you are like me and most of the anglers I know, the answer is no. We pitch them in the back of the vehicle and head for the water. Is that any way to treat your gear? Again, the answer is no. But what are the alternatives? With a new rod in my arsenal, I started casting about (pun intended) for a way to protect it while traveling to and from my fishing hole. My efforts were rewarded when I found this beautiful solution. I set the hook and got a set home.I like the obvious quality of the product. The material is flawless, as is the stitching. I've seen excellent quality wet suits, and these protectors match them stitch for stitch in quality.Next, I like the ability to stretch them a bit for a snug fit. The sleeves come with a funny-looking elastic cord. Puzzled about their purpose, I returned to the Amazon product page to learn what they did. With a reel attached, you look the cord around the reel to keep the sleeve in place. It's a very slick idea. Since I am using one sleeve for long-term storage and protection of a surf rod that I store without its reel attached, I didn't have a handy attachment point. However, I secured the sleeve to the rod's handle with a little judicious stretching and tugging.Last but not least, there's a handy reflective Velcro patch on which you can write your name or other useful information. This is a well-made, functional product that fills my need to protect my fishing rods during the season when heading to the water and over the winter. Treat your best fishing rod to a little TLC, and bring home one or a pair today.

These fishing rod neoprene sleeve will definitely reduce the chances of damage in transport and storage. I got them because the rod compartment on the boat has a few edges that I worry will damage eyes and potentially scrape or crack the rods themselves if not stacked properly. Having these protectors not only helps alleviate my concern with the thick padding but it also prevents hooks and lines from tangling on each other. Huge time-saver and I'll likely buy more as I need them.

These are good quality rod sleeves. The material appears to be the same as the bigger names I see advertised, and the thickness is good to provide protection for your rods. I did purchase the 70" spinning version without thinking; they're too long for the rods I typically use, and that's on me. I should have reviewed the image they provide that gives guidance based on the length of your rod. I will probably buy 2 of the 60" spinning version given the current price of EDIT: I realized that by folding the bottom of the sleeve back on itself I can comfortably fit shorter spinning rods into the sleeve. The bottom rod eye is a little tight, but the sleeve flexes more than enough. Yay!
