I would have read it higher, but it just collapsed under a ton of snow so definitely take it down before winter. It is not rated for the weight. It says it is for.

Black edge trim degrades quickly in the sun. Grommets will rip out eventually, especially if the wind has the sun shade whipping around. I managed to get 1.5 summers out of these in southern AZ.

I wasn’t sure this would stand up to the winds we get in our area. I purchased this to cover an area where we have a super larger window that the sun beats into in the afternoon. It lowers the temperature on the porch in front of it by at least 15+ degrees and shades the window but still allowing enough light through as to not need to turn on lights in the house. It was easy to hang and secure

This was a perfect fit for my new gazebo. It creates shade, but it’s not too . We have had a windy summer and it has held up great, would recommend and buy again!

We bought this to go on our nieces chicken coop for shade. It was perfect for our application. Easy to install with the grommets. Last year she lost one of her feathered babies due to the extreme heat in the summer, so this should provide protection from the sun and help keep that temperature down .

I was looking at different roll-up options to shade my balcony but for the size I wanted they were either too expensive or.. too cheap, lol. Decided to go a different route and came up with my own plan to put up a "tarp".My main obstacle was finding the perfect size. I ordered the 8'×15' knowing it would be a bit larger than I need, but found an affordable grommet kit as well to install additional grommets wherever I might need them. It arrived in good condition, no tears or holes. Some of the stitching looked a little sketchy in a few spots but I don't think it will affect the overall durability much. It's important to note that it actually is a few inches short on the width and a couple inches long on the length, which could really ruin someone's project if they need that perfect size. Coincidentally this was a happy accident for me, as I ordered larger than I needed and the missing inches on width helped it fit much better. Sheer luck. It's a bit long and I had to wrap it around the corner a little but that's fine, I was halfway planning on it.I drilled holes and used bolts with washers to fasten the grommets to the top, and then used bungee cords to fasten the grommets at the bottom to my railing. It looks good and it's very effective at keeping out the bright sun in the afternoons. Plus it blocks the annoying security light from across the street (finally..). Not completely waterproof but I wasn't expecting it be nor do I need to be. I've already installed and fastened additional grommets to tighten up the corner in the left side of my pic.Overall great shade cloth for the price and is very effective for both shade and privacy.

Used this to cover up a shed. Looks good and is functional. Great and affordable option for us.

As soon as I got these, I hung them up. I had to replace the original shades I had. (Minus the shorter one I bought,it got too dark too fast for me to install that one). The reason I bought these was one video shown someone bouncing on them and we have very high winds, so I was concern about the strength of them. I LIKE these shades, a lot!! I have no complaint what so ever about them. They look well made and when the very first morning came around, they REALLY did block A LOT of the sun, but allowing just the right amount of filtered light in,(I got the wheat color shades). We have an East/West facing home and every Spring, Summer, Fall, we get hit with the sun streaming in at different points into the house. It`s perfect and we can put away the sunglasses and I don`t have to cover the windows with towels or sheets to block the sun until it moves higher into the sky. I love the filtered light. I did a buyer`s error. I did not measure correctly and thus the shades are shorter in one direction and too long in another. I thought I was getting 6 feet by 5 feet, it was 6 feet 5 inches, OOPS. Next time I`ll get wider ones. I probably needed an 8 ft by5 ft. BUT, I was in a hurry to get something up for the summer. I have a dog pen made up of livestock fencing and letting these hang down, WILL unravel them pretty fast,so I have to figure out how to pin them up. I`m not the type of person to do the return games,IF I screw up, no need to punish someone else for my mistake, these will work good enough. I may have to play around with the 3 panels I got to get a full sun coverage, and buy another one for my steps, but these are on the east side, so it won`t matter. Due to these, they are not a see through like my other ones in the front of the house are and having a gap between them, may work better keeping most of the sun out of my house, but still letting just the right amount of unfiltered light in. I live in a very hot part of the country and I needed something to not heat up my house, for our electric company complains about the amount of electricity we use and I set my thermostat at 83 degrees in the summer to please the electric company. I REALLY wished I would have measured better, for like I said, with having to keep our house so warm and these are tightly woven ,it will keep our house from heating up.Update: Oh my gosh, are these nice. I just stepped outside and it`s heating up and I compared the ones that are hanging from my awning which are still in great shape compared to the new ones I put up to replace a few that are tearing apart and there must be a 15 degree difference between the 2 types and the original ones are a 90% shade. Even though I made a big oopsy they are still shading the house really well. Yes, I recommend these.
