SharkBite is the Push-Fit connection system that is really taking hold. It's the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Pricey but worked out great for my water softener install, bought 2. One for the inlet pressure and the other for the downstream the softener/carbon filter to check pressure differential.

This thing seems to work fine. Reports my water pressure at 75ish which is within regulation. So assuming everything is right with the world I'm happy too.I am iffy on sharkbites still. They have zero tug resistance and can spring easy leaks. So while super easy to work with, unless you buy pros these are one time use which make them real expensive to make mistakes with.May not stay in the sharkbite ecosystem for long but with this specific dial I am happy for now.

Delivery wasn't like Amazon normal time frame and was 2 days late. The Gauge is more for air pressure so I replaced it with a lower water gauge to read my city water pressure. It's a great idea that works but is in my opinion is way overpriced especially if you have to replace the gauge and why I gave it a 4 rating and not a 5. Using this type of connector may not be the best choice for air. So it does what I was hoping it would do.

Bought and installed this pressure gauge for a client who needed a new whole house pressure regulator. Paired it with the Sharkbite water pressure regulator. Install was easy after properly prepping the copper ends (no burs, lip, or sharp edges inside or outside). Installed this gauge on the outlet side of the regulator to allow the home owner to monitor whether the regulator is working or needs replacement, as well as, make adjustments for the ideal psi needed for the home.

Been using sharkbite for years now and love it. Bought this after replacing my water heater and installing a thermo expansion tank. Never had any leaks with any sharkbite fitting I've installed. I make sure pipe is cut straight and and smooth it out after done cutting. No more sweating and soldering pipes for me. Gauge also is accurate tested it with another pressure at water heater drain and both showed same number.
