Sharkbite is the best. There are other brands but I stick with sharkbite as they have always worked for me. Quick and easy install and no leaks with any that I have installed.

Be sure to clean and sand copper pipe (if used) to eliminate burrs as with any fitting. Installs easily. Because no heat is used, no damage to the valve from overheating to get non-lead solder to flow. This brand is the original and works perfectly. Why save a few dollars and buy something you don’t trust and that might just leak in a few years? Highly recommend this brand and this valve.

I purchased a few of these. I did my shower diverter and it had no shout off vowels. It made plumbing very easy. It’s so well worth it the extra few dollars that you spend a lot of savings from getting a plumber. Definitely perfect for doing it yourself. It’s really really easy for installation. It is top quality. It fits perfect and I have zero leakage. And this past weekend, I just replaced the line that goes to the outside water Spicket and I had to replace the shut off valve that always leaked whenever you touch it. I’m just so happy how this product works and amazing technology. They put behind it last as long as standard.

I've done a lot of plumbing work over the years and this was the first time I used Sharkbite instead of copper and soldered fittings. No matter how careful I've been, I've had my share of leaking soldered fittings that had to be resoldered. I was skeptical at first, but after installing a house full of Sharkbite fittings, NOT ONE SINGLE LEAK! I"M SOLD FOREVER! I will never go back to copper and soldered fittings. They're a bit more expensive that standard copper fittings, but they are faster and easier to use so the time saved more than makes up for the slightly higher cost. I highly recommend using Sharkbite fittings and that's all I will ever use again.

I've been meaning (for 8 years now) to run a water line from our house into our attached garage. The main reason was for our fridge ice maker but I also wanted a hose access for those winter months. I finally decided to tackle the project. These are simply amazing. So easy to use and super fast. Once you prep your line properly, you simply push the line in the fitting, make sure it's seated all the way and Done! No more soldering. These are amazing especially for close quarters. Even if you mess up, you can simply remove them and fix your error.I have this one at the end of a temporary line that will go out the side of the garage this summer for an outside hose. (all the way to right of image) It's acting as cap right now but will be used to shut off the outside water during the winter months.Overall, these are a lifesaver. I know many people say these type of fittings don't last but I've seen homes that have had them for years with no leaks. I took a chance with these and I'm confident they will last a long time (hopefully forever). I highly recommend these especially if plumbing is not your thing.Pros:Super easy to installreusablesolid, no leaksfull brass fittingCons:costly compared to normal fittingscan only re-use so many times

Wow, I am impressed at how easy this was to install on an existing line. And I have the coordination and manual dexterity of a 2-year-old.I wanted to put a shut off valve to the waterline feeding my outside faucet and prevent the line from freezing over during the winter. This works very well. Just push the line into the valve (with some force) until it no longer goes further in, do the same for the other side, you're done... well, clean the floor from some water dripping because you did not put a towel to catch it, and you're done!I would NOT have paid full price for this, but the discounted price made it a great purchase
