I've only used basic shooting tabs in the past and decided to give this "space age" looking tab a try. It really performed well for practice in the back yard, so much I started out the bow season with it where I realized it was not appropriate. Having a metal component makes it susceptible to produce noise if it touches metal tree stand or other hard surfaces. Perhaps this problem is unique to me as I tend to keep my tab on my hand (almost) 100% of the time while hunting. I switched to the basic soft material tabs and the recent ones I purchased are wearing out at a much faster rate. In the past, I would lose an old school tab before it wore out!
