Seems very heavy duty and powerful! As others mentioned it makes a bit of noise, and I do have some concerns about replacement blades if they ever become damaged or require grinding to resharpen them, but for the low cost you can basically buy a whole additional set of clippers without being out too much. If going pro you might want to step it up to a name brand set with better replacement part availability, but as a starter shear these seem very impressive!

These SOARFLY Shears work just fine. They are good quality, and come very sharp and well oiled. The kit is fully equipped with everything you need to start shearing. They are easy to clean and do maintenance after each use.I had to take a star off because of the loudness, which can be unsettling to skittish animals. Being outside, with other distracting noises definitely helps.

This is a very heavy-duty sheep shearer that works right out of the box. It comes with its own case and an empty bottle to keep the shearing oil (they don't fill it due to shipping). It cuts hair like butter but is a bit heavy for me as an average to petite-sized woman.I got it thinking it would be perfect to cut through the thick, sheep-like hair of our Goldendoodle dog (it's so thick that regular clippers get caught) and it works well for that but cuts extremely close to the skin. I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust the length. It's also quite noisy and our dog is scared of the sound so it's not a pleasant experience for her. So for us, the clippers are better off used on actual sheep rather than our dog. That said, I'm sure the sheep would also be scared of the sound. Overall, though, it's a well-made, large, and effective hair clipper.

You wouldn't likely be considering these if you have a lot of sheep and are a seasoned shepherd. As a starter kit however, these are pretty decent.Comes in a nice hard case. Blades are sharp and work well. They do the job.I'd recommend doing it outside around some natural sounds (wind, other animals, tractor engine, etc) because they are pretty noisy - something sheep aren't fond of.

These shears are pretty powerful in my opinion. They seem to be pretty well made and come in a nice hard sided carrying case. The power switch is on the back end of the handle by the cord and it's not in a position where I think it would be easy to accidentally bump it off. The speed adjustment is just up the handle from the power switch and as far as accidentally changing the setting it might depend on how you hold the shears. There is a nicely varied speed difference through the settings and I like they way it's set up. The blades seem to be pretty well sharpened right out of the package but I do think it would be nice to include replacement blades in a set like this. In my opinion this shears is a bit on the heavy side and also loud, especially at higher speeds. But as I said it feels like it's pretty powerful and weight and noise generally come with power. Overall I think this is a decent kit that is ready to go right out of the case. I consider it to be a fair value.

so i been usin this to trim up some woolly critters and it does the job, but man, it’s loud. like, you def need some earplugs if you’re gonna be shearin for a while. power’s solid tho, cuts through thick coats easy, no snaggin or pullin. it’s a bit heavy after a while, so if you’re doin a bunch of animals back to back, your arm might feel it. also gets warm after a bit, so gotta take breaks. cords long enough to move around, which is nice. blades are sharp out the box, but you’ll prob wanna keep some oil on hand to keep ‘em smooth.
