I bought four of these fixtures for my high school theatre. My first impression was very good. Very functional and performed as expected and advertised. The problem is that when the young people entered the theatre they immediately began to complain of a high pitched electrical whine. My old ears could not hear those frequencies but the young ears were being tortured. Discussions with Shehds engineers revealed that they know of this. They still sell these fixtures for theatres. Misleading. I now have to try to sell these fixtures to a music club to recoup some of my useless purchase. Disppointed.

We own 8 of these fixtures and they are a great value but the fan noise is relatively loud if used in a church of theatre environment

The light is decent, as the other much more comprehensive review states. Bright, good for the money, and the lens tube is compatible with another very well know brand. The lens that comes with the light is mediocre. The lens tube travel is too short. You'll need gel to soften the edges to what you'll probably want to see.Two stars off for not having the channel maps / fixture profiles online. The only personality online is for avolites. As I foolishly threw away the box, I had to install Titan just to get the values. The Shehds website sucks - its like crawling though my parents pc in the 90s teeming with viruses.

This is one of those "choose the right place for it" light.Pros: Surprisingly good color blending; it doesn't break down into component colors behind a shadow. Dimming curve is respectable; the pop off happens about 2% or so, maybe a little lower, but it's not offensive. Accepts Source 4 pattern holder, B-size gobos. Has 45* of barrel rotation. Lenses look to be interchangeable to S4. Brightness is respectable; maybe a little shy of 750 HPL, but darn close. Definitely more than 575 HPL.Cons: Not as robust. Yoke seems to be aluminum instead of steel. It has an accessory slot on the top and the bottom - weird, but not necessarily a problem. Optics aren't as good as S4; the uniformity is good when it's in focus to the gate, but with a gobo you start to see some variance in sharpness across the lens. Definitely use frost to soften the edge; running the barrel out starts to mess with the color blend a little. RGB aren't primary. Red is close, green has yellow in it, and blue has red in it. I'd be concerned about uniformity between batches. Little bit of fan noise and high pitch noise when the full array is on, but might not be an issue at distance. All in all, not awful. Certainly good for the price point. I wouldn't put it onto a mainstage, but in bar, church, wedding venue, architectural use, etc. it would be plenty. We have a multipurpose room that routinely hosts weddings and meetings. These will be perfect for doing a little room painting down there.
