This product exceeded what I thought I had ordered considering I got one of the cheapest sets it’s comfortable easy to put on and take off.

I bought this set for my two boys, ages 6 and 8 for Christmas, they were just a bit larger than I thought, but the kids loved them, and they still haven't stopped playing with them. I am very satisfied with this item, and am sure they'll last for many years to come.

These gloves and headgear sets were just the ticket for two teen-aged boys to compete without much chance for injury. The headgear was a little large but fit well enough to avoid mouth and ear injuries. The gloves were perfect for learning stance and improving reaction time. Some of their friends also enjoyed a little play. It was a good way to evaluate whether boy(s) were competitive enough to consider more training.

I purchased this item for my 12 and 9 year old brothers... besides the fact that sports authority wanted to charge me 38 dollars JUST for one pair of boxing gloves, i thought using an online source would save me from having to schlepp around and try to find the same product in two different colors (an obvious necessity for anyone with kids that have to share ;-)). the products are in perfect shape for two little boys who want to mess about and they came neatly packaged, brand new, clean, and ready to WHOP someone haha.

I received these items today and was completely disappointed. upon trying on the gloves and headgear the material around the laces and up through the palm completely ripped, so did the lace holes around the headgear. Also in the description it says that the material is "vinyl leather" I expected some of the components to be vinyl and some, the striking surfaces and what not, to be leather. These gloves and head gear contain no leather that I can see. Although inexpensive, these items are very very low quality. i bought them for backyard sparring and i doubt that they would make it through a single round. also purchased the punching bag and glove combo offered by the same seller and it was of the same quality. Any one who bought these and was happy with what they received either is not using them for boxing or is being very very sarcastic. don't waste your time on these, they were K.O.'ed before the bell even rang.Best,Joshua Jonesin addition to this once i returned the item to LIFE GEARS , THEY DID NOT EVEN REFUND MY FULL PURCHASE PRICE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE, PLEASE

The shipping was good and arived in time. But the product itself is of poor quality. After just one sparring match the seam of the inner glove actually started to rip and now both of my gloves are useless. The headgear is ok but ripped also after taking a little abuse. Please dont waste your time with this product.

I suggest reinforcing the back of the helmets where the shoe strings go. Because if you don't when you tighten them the leather will rip. I would also do the same for the gloves. It's not that hard just put some extra stitches in there and you'll be good. Also get new shoe strings b/c the ones they come with are too short and tear up really easy. I personally just put some elastic bands on them insead and it made it easy to slip on and off. So if you are willing to spend an extra 5 bucks and a lil' more time you can get some gear for a good price.

So I just got this today, like, 20 mins. ago, after a pretty long wait. The gloves feel sturdy, but greasy and dirty and have smudges on them, but if you box with them they're going to get dirty anyways so it doesn't matter. They fit ok. Some gloves feel like they have more padding in them than others. Now, for the headgear? FAIL. I barely put the black headgear on my head and the strap broke (so the other person who said they have this problem, I can back you up.) The headgear is very uncomfortable, lumpy, just not even worth it. So the gloves are worth it, the headgear isn't. If you can get just the gloves without headgear for cheaper somewhere, I suggest you do that.
