It feels very solid and secure, I wanted it to replace the no name one I had on my trek marlin because I pull my kids behind me in a Thule stroller and i wanted something more secure.

My previous long skewer on a Surly touring bike with Burley trailer bracket failed. That was very disconcerting. I bought this replacement as the best-reviewed type (external cam) and as a trusted Shimano component. So far it is fine.
