Your cart is empty.Whether you're in paradoxical possession of post-mount brake calipers and a flat-mount frame or just need to correct flat-to-flat mount adapter to fit your chosen rotor size, Shimano has a Flat Mount Disc Brake Adapter to get you up and running (and stopping) in a flash. Available in a variety of post/flat and flat/flat combinations to accommodate 140mm and/or 160mm rotors, this adapter installs quickly and ensures your calipers work seamlessly with that shiny new frame.

Been wanting to get a 160mm rotor on the back of my Cannondale Quic Four hybrid. Never worked with the Flat Mount calipers before though. This was super easy. It's not specified in the description but it includes the additional screws and washers you need, as well as the little cotter pin deal for the higher end calipers.Just wish it was like 10 bucks 😪.

This wedge, will allow your disc brake road frame to accept 160mm rotors. The wedge includes two short screws which will attach the brake calliper to the wedge. The longer screws provided with the callipers will be used to attach the wedge to the frame. That said, the wedge has 4 openings, Two for attaching the calliper to the wedge, and two for attaching the wedge to the frame. Before getting this adapter I thought it only had two openings and that I would need two very long screws. The wedge has a thinner and thicker side, pay attention to this and to what side goes forward or rearward. One more Thing.... You may be assembling a new road bike frame. No matter how expensive or inexpensive your frame was, the bores where the brake calliper "sit" most likely will need to be trued. If your rotor keeps rubbing on the pads, no matter how many times you recallibrate them, the bores need alignment. By observing where the rotors rub the pads you may be able determine which side of the bores need to be levelled, but if not sure, let a mechanic do it for you. I filed a bit on one side of my bores and was able to eliminate the annoying brake rub. This is a trial and error procedure.

Works great -- turns out disk mounts are the Wild West!!!On a Warbird need this on the rear to fit a 160mm, on the front allows you to fit a 180mm disk.

I'm building up a new bike and discovered that Shimano's GRX rear caliper does not include the adapter needed to use a 160mm rotor (the front caliper does include it though). For $410.00(!) this SHOULD be included with the rear brake/shifter set - I'm looking at YOU Shimano! The quality of the adapter kit is typical Shimano quality and plated the rear caliper up into perfect position for the 160mm rotor. So I got that going for me.
