Purchased fo the sole purpose of using on my ice fishing rods. Nice smooth drag. Light weight and balanced. Won't break the bank, or if you just don't fish a lot, or want to introduce a spinning reel for those advancing from spin cast.

When it first arrived I thought it was a bit on the small side for a 3000, but it spooled up a fair bit of 20lb braid and after bringing it out for a test run, I managed to hook onto so very decent fish off the rocks and was surprised at how easily it handled the pressure from the Jacks, Mackies and Needlefish!The drag sound, for a reel this size is loud, rivalling my Penn Pursuit 4 and it held its own against formidable fish on the day.Great reel at the price point I got it for ($20), decent drag, holds a fair bit of braided line and can hold its own in a battle with notoriously energetic fish species in saltwater.

Other than the questionable package when delivered, this is a great budget fishing reel that feels nice on the hands, looks great, and is very silky smooth. Also note that the body of it is made by plastic, but it is durable. Definitely recommended 👍

Purchased 2 3000 reels for my two daughters for pier fishing for snappers, blow fish, etc…These feel great in my hand, awesome handle for their little hands, weight is nice, rotates well and bail raises and drops nicely. Even the nut holding the handle feels solid. It’s a Shamano!

I bought this reel as I wanted a small reel for my Warbird travel specimen rod. I wanted light weight and small. This reel meets those needs and is superb.Lovely build quality as you would expect of Shimano with a smooth wind. I put 100m of 3.5lb line on to it but you could get 150m plus a bit.If you need a small reel for small pier specimen fishing, give this one a try.

Qualitativ sehr hochwertige und vorallem kleine Rolle.Ich war auf der suche nach einer kleinen Rolle für wenig Geld und bin auf diese hier gestoßen.Bei so vielen Rollen verliert man schnell den Überblick doch bei dieser hier kann man definitiv nichts falsch machen.Die Anzahl an Kugellager ist nicht so wichtig wie es vielleicht andere Hersteller sagen sondern vielmehr die Qualität und die Verarbeitung.Für meinen Schweden Urlaub ist sie perfekt.0.18 Geflochtene Schnur habe ich circa 80-90 Meter drauf bekommen, es war noch etwas Schnur übrig auf der 100m Spule.Die Rolle ist jeden Cent Wert.Absolute Kaufempfehlung !
