Built just like Ultegra but just a few grams heavier (and $50 cheaper)! Nice upgrade from same pedal circa 2012! HOWEVER - beware of counterfeit Shimano products in this marketplace. Shimano only sells through a network of authorized dealers.

The longer spindles allow me to center the cleats on the shoe bottom, the wider platform surprisingly feels faster and smoother under heavy efforts.

Great road pedals, easy to install.Didn't realize these included the shoe mounts as well. All hardware included: first rate.

You get what you order, no issues and great product. I could have gotten the 205 version but paid more for the ultrgra … no reason and some are worried about weight between the 2 but not a deciding factor. They were available on Amazon and hit the buy button. My wife bought the LOOK brand and very similar and the only difference is the aluminum plate .just buy them

Received an open box item. Tension adjustment was broken, and couldn't even clip in to the pedals. I've returned the first set of pedals and will update review when the new set arrives. Giving 3 stars for now as the return process was easy at least.Edit: second set of pedals was delivered new and unopened, installation and adjustment were easy. I haven't had any troubles clipping unto or out of the pedals, they feel solid and allow good power transfer. Definitely satisfied with the purchase.

Shimano, the name says it all. I owned the 6800 SPDs, they are very similar except that the 8000s are lighter, slimmer, and with 4mm, aligns my knees better for more leverage on my cranks! The wide platform is excellent and seems a slight bit wider than the 6800s, although this is probably more an optical illusion than a fact. You can’t go wrong with these, the latest iteration of an excellent set of pedals!

If you use the SPD SL already there’s not much to say you don’t aleeady know: Nice wide platform, secure clipping and positive insert and release action. These are nearly identical to the 105 series apart from slightly lower weight however the 4mm longer axle makes them worth the price alone as you can only get that in ultegra and above. The fitter added 1mm washers to my old 105 but they started to dig into the crank arm after only a short time and left and impression so these are the solution that’s not a retrofit. My only quibble is price but if you can get them cheaper than msrp if you do your research.
