About a 2’ or 3’ section was out right in the middle of the run . I had to splice it because of the restriction on time.

I purchased several rolls of LED rope lights for a new construction in McLean Virginia. A few of the rope lights went bad and stopped functioning. I contacted the customer service for replacement/remedy, and I was taken care of immediately, in a very hassle free fashion. Hannah, a customer service agent, went above & beyond the call-of-duty to make sure that I was satisfied with the result. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly level of customer service. Wonderful company to do business with - Thank you, Hannah!!

Bought these to line the footpath past the garage to the house. Easy to mount, bright, lovely light. Got them hooked up to a motion sensor (not included) and now visitors and delivery folks can navigate the path, and it looks fantastic. Big fan. I've since bought a set to hang in the attic.Ignore the bloody red arm, I took the photo on Halloween. ;)

I mounted this light outside a stone bar in an outdoor area. It looks great, provides plenty of light at night and can be seen well even in the daytime. It has stood up well to the elements so far. Both below freezing temps and in wet slushy weather. Make sure to know you need to plug this into weather-safe outlet area. The packaging this light arrived in was durable and very sleek. It came with mounting clips as well, made of rust resistant metal. Directly out of the box this was quite bright as well. You can hardly tell that LEDs pixels are used as they are very close to each other and the outside diffuser efficiency spreads the light evenly across the strip. Overall a great product and would recommend it.

We bought the 50" rope light for our 12' x 14' gazebo. These lights installed much easier then I was expecting. The included hardware was a real bonus as there was more then enough to do the complete job. The dimmer (separate item) was easy to install and works great. I have attached 2 pictures one at 10% and the other at 100% brightness. I would definitely buy again and recommend for anyone looking for something a little different than the typical Edison lights that hang. I attached them on the inside 2x6 with the clips provided and they just clipped in and held in place perfectly. LOVE IT!

The quality of the light of this product is beautiful, every even, no bright or dark spots. The rope itself is very supple and flexible. The rope shape has a flat bottom that allows it to rest easily on a flat surface. It is 5/8" high. The rope doesn't have a 'memory', not like uncoiling a new garden hose that wants to remain coiled. When you uncoil it from the reel it comes on, it lays flat. This can't be placed into a sharp corner, but must be a rounded turn. My installation was flat in a ceiling tray. The installation of 80 ft went pretty quickly. The instructions were understandable, but I wish they were more complete. I installed mine with the dimmer (purchased separately). I did cut the rope in two places, first to cut the power cord off to connect the dimmer apparatus in its place, then at the end. The rope cuts easily at the marked points with a heavy-duty shear. I actually used a Kitchen Aid Kitchen Shear that is very sharp and heavy duty. The result is very pleasing. I would buy this again and recommend.

I had installed Shine Decor rope lighting on my outside patio and was very happy with the beauty and installation method of the product. So, I decided to try a more sophisticated interior installation with their "warm white" LED rope lighting. This required a lot of splicing so that I could install shorter segments of rope lighting in the hidden ledges of a bar cabinet near our kitchen. I purchased the extra connection wire kits to make the splices and turns inside the cabinets. The cutting areas, splice pins and materials, and instructions for splicing were all clear, but the first time I installed the 3rd splice, for some reason, my other spliced areas then went dark. So, I contacted Shine Decor--a wonderful person named Alice responded back immediately and she was extremely helpful, sending information and videos. She asked for a video from my end showing how I had followed the procedures, which I sent to them. Again, they immediately responded back, and sent me a new power cable. When I installed the splices the second time, all worked well. You do need to take your time in the splicing process to carefully cut at the exact point (I used a razor for the best cuts) and install the splice pins without too much force. Everything works great if you take your time during the process. Then you use their shrink wrap around the splice (heated with a hair dryer worked well) and you are all set. The install clips that hold the rope lighting work well. I used some double sided tape to hold the clip in the cabinet while I put in the screws.A fun project overall, and thanks again to Shine Decor for the assistance.

This product looks lovely on my deck and adds desirable ambient light on warm summer evenings. Here are some things you should know as this was a tricky installation. 1. The rope light is very bright and needed the associated dimmer for my application. 2. In order to install the dimmer you must cut off the power plug that is connected to the rope light. You must then make a new connection using the provided connectors that come with the dimmer. I was unsuccessful with my 1st attempt as the dimmer would not operate the rope light. I was very impressed with this company’s support as they made sure I was satisfied by sending out a new light and dimmer. 3. You MUST make a proper connection with the H connector for the dimmer to operate. It took 2 tries to get the dimmer to work but it finally did when I inserted the connector directly into the wires of the rope light. What a relief! 4. Have some clear sealant handy for waterproofing and be sure to use the shrink tube. 5. I found the brackets a waste of time when hanging the lights and ended up using 1.5” cup hooks. They worked great and help the rope lay level underneath the deck rail. 6. I used 2 command strips behind the dimmer unit and adhered to the deck post closest to the house. They can be easily removed for winter storage and give a finished look to the installation. I waited a week before writing this review to check for any water related issues or trouble with the dimmer unit. The unit is working flawlessly at this time. If you don’t need a dimmer, this will work just fine out of the box but will be bright! I would suggest this company have a prefabricated dimmer option so end users don’t make mistakes with the connection process.
