Awesome traction even in mud when new. After some ware still had great performance but in mud it needed help.

Very sticky with a good profile. They are very soft, but for 55 bucks I prefer the traction over tire life. I think they are the best trail tire available if you don't mind changing probably every 500 miles, depending on how hard you ride and the surface.

NIce tire for the back of my KTM 450XC-G. terrific traction in the hard-pack and rocks of the desert single-tracks I ride. It's only been on for a hundred miles or so, so I cannot comment on it's longevity, but it looks like it might be just the ticket out here in Arizona. It is NOT DOT, so don't count on putting it on your dual-sport bike for on-road use.

Very good on wet rocks and roots. Tread cleans out good in mud. If you're the wide open braaap type you will wear them out fast. I have put over 400 miles in technical terrain in the Alaskan mountains this summer and probably have another season on it. In the heat and high speed stuff I would expect very short life.

In the motorcycle world, Shinkos are a joke and not to be touched...but in the dirt bike world, they make one of the BEST tires. You will have traction in places you never thought imaginable...and find yourself able to go slow up and through things you once needed momentum for.I plan on trying the 525 after this one is gone.

The Shinko 505 Cheater is becoming the go to tire for extreme technical trails with lots of rocks. That is why I bought one, and I have not been disappointed.
