Very simple to install, for my set it required a Allen / hex wrench where I seen someone previously state they needed a screw driver. also "steel bolt and aluminum inserts." in the description but the material the actual spool is made of is like a hard plastic or similar, very lite. All in all I would buy again.

Super easy to install and good quality. Literally just used a screwdriver and put the spools in the precut holes on my 2017 ninja 650.

Very close fitment on the 17/18 ninja 650. Right side seated correctly. Left side is so close cannot tell if it properly seated against the swingarm or bolt hole. I just said screw it and loctite the sucked in. If you want to play it safe a small thin spacer on the left side swing arm might not be a bad idea. (The flang on the spool def makes contact with the swing arm (left side only). Again so close cannot tell if flush with bolt hole, it so close. But it does work, sitting on a woodcraft stand as I type this.

Excellent quality pieces. These things are great when you need to do service on your bike. I am able to handle my bike and get them on the stands without my husband's help allowing me to do what I need on my bike.
