Heavy galvanizing and maybe coarse casting left this pretty rough. So it's not pretty, but it's still functional under the light load I bought it for.

These are larger than the two cleats that I replaced on my 14' Jon boat that were cracked and broken. They actually lined up pretty well with the holes from the old cleats. These are very strong and durable. I use one for tying off the boat and one to secure the anchor. Both are hold up very good and look pretty good. Overall a great buy.

Really sturdy for the price. We didn’t use them for the intended use but used as a shower hook at the cottage for a nautical feel. Works great

I bought these for my son and daughter in law’s houseboat so that their friends can tie up when visiting. They look and work great.

I'm building my own sailboat to sail around the world. This is the first part I bought~ next maybe a hull, an anchor, masts, deck, sails - probably just another cleat - they're cheap and this one surpassed all whirlwind expectations!

Perfect addition to our Dock! you need bolts that fit down into holes obviously and be careful when your drilling into wood that it's on a permanent crossbeam underneath because a heavy boat will eventually ripped that cleat out on a storm! I put a couple on my pylons too to hang the dock ropes up so they are easy access coming back home to dock!

Can't wait to get this fixed to the wall for towel hooks in our newly decorated nautical family bathroom. They are very strong and sturdy...no chance of them breaking.

Cheap potted metal from China. You're not going to get a rope through the middle. But, a cast iron cleat for $2.50 is pretty inexpensive.

Brought this cleat to secure some rope for a hoist. It is very solid and I have no worries that it will certainly hold the weight for which I am using it. Surface is a little rough but that is not a problem for me.

I bought these to make a towel "bar" out of boat cleats and marine rope for my nautical themed bathroom because I am addicted to Pinterest. They work great, I love that they are a bit rough because they really grab towels. FYI they do not come with any kind of screw to attach them to the wall so you will have to send your husband out to the hardware store in a fit of "IT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT NOW" rage because you are eight months pregnant and things have gotten a little out of hand. Maybe you should go lie down.

Very heavy Duty Cleats. Just what I wanted . It will be great on the boat and it is perfect. Too bad the compas I ordered was such a piece of crap. It points East and sometimes west, not North like it is suppose to.
