This should come as standard for so many of their podcasting mics. What came with mine was more of an afterthought. Shure need to focus on this important aspect a lot more and not expect their customers to have to purchase a second item straight away. 5 stars for this item though.

Ik heb de Shure mv7x mic en de originele windscreen is niks waard veel te dun gevoerd.Dan heb ik de windscreen van mv7b besteld met langere vorm zodat er meer buffer was voor de plop geluiden maar niks , even slecht als het origineel, daarna uiteindelijk deze genomen en het is dag en nacht verschil! De voering super lekker dikwandig de plop geluiden en s geluiden zijn weg wel de gain van de mic iets verhogen en tis een pracht combo met de mv7x ! Niet twijfelen dit is de beste windscreen voor de mic

The original item is always the best. Could be made in China like all other wind shields but done to superior spec. 👍🏻

I recently purchased the Shure MV7X and saw recommendations on replacing the windscreen with the SM7B version to cut down on plosives. I bought this windscreen thinking it was the RK345 model, but it still fit the MV7X perfectly fine. It’s not a super tight fit but isn’t completely loose either.The one thing that stands out is that it’s pretty big and long, unlike the original SM7B windscreen. I didn’t like the extra length and empty gap from the inner foam to the tip of the microphone so I ended up cutting about an inch off to get a more snug fit. The windscreen is nice and thick all the way through so it still cuts off all the plosives.

Comprei para substituir a espuma do MV7, no início achei que não tinha mudado muita coisa. Mas depois, comparando as gravações, realmente faz diferença. Redução de ruídos, aquele barulhinho de "boca com saliva", achei que melhorou bem.

I love my MV7X. Best mic I’ve ever owned and probably my “forever mic”. No need to ever upgrade to an SM7B, the MV7X is a perfect mic. Having said that, the windscreen that comes with the MV7X is not good at all. It’s not cheap or anything but the windscreen is too close to the actual mic head and because of that the ‘plosives are just way too grating and it really changes the listening experience in a negative way. So, I did a bit of research and this windscreen kept coming up in reviews and recommendations as the best for the MV7X. There are a couple reviews here on Amazon that mention the MV7X so I felt confident. I bought it, received it, and put it on the mic and I haven’t looked back. No more ‘plosives on my “p sounds” or “b sounds” or any other ‘plosive. It really upgrades the mic sound quality in a huge way. You buy the MV7X this is a necessity. Very happy and would recommend to anyone. Hope this helps!

Liquida de un plumazo las plosivas y los pops.Lo compré junto con un micrófono Shure MV7X, ya que el parabrisas con el que viene equipado de serie, es muy pobre.Este es de mayor calidad, tanto por el grosor de la espuma, como por el encaje con este micro, al quedar más distanciado de la cápsula, lo que impide que el aire le impacte de forma mucho más eficaz.Sin duda, el mejor accesorio para este micrófono.Totalmente recomendable.

This is the real McCoy the real Shure smb7 foam pop filter. I was expecting a knock off but it works great just what I wanted. I use it on my ASTON Stealth Dynamic mic. It's a tight fit but works great for my close up voice work.

Best windscreen for electrovoice Re20. Like others have said it doesn't color the sound at all. Usually foam screens muffle the higher frequencies, but with this one surprisingly I hear zero difference - except for the lack of plosives.

I've forgotten how nice a new foam pop filter was. Feels really nice on my mouth. Comes with extra Velcro to keep it in place (I do not use it, I swap out the filters for the regular sm7 foam grill)

Im so glad I got one of these, it really helped me as when I bought my SM7-B it was used and only came with the default. As for does it really change the sound, I guess that depends on how breathy you want to be, and no I don't need to know what kind of breathy videos your going to be making with this super crazy mic.Though it could be a good windscreen to, mine never moves and it did take some plosives away, I switch between it and the little one all the time, and like both just about equally.
