EXCELLENT MACHINE, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, USE AT A 2-3 SPEED FOR EXCELLENT RESULTS. I DECIDED TO DO MY 39 FOOT 5TH WHEEL BY MYSELF AND AM HALF WAY THROUGH ON SIDE AND IT LOOKS FANTASTIC, WAX GOES ON NEXT!

This polisher was to be used on a boat . Purchased in 2017 . This item proved itself to be useful and painful and frustrating all at once . It does polish , however it also vibrates and requires the user to take breaks more often . The switch is absolutely useless, will not stay locked on and if it should get wax residue in the indent that locks the switch , q-tips and a cleaning is in order. The ergonomics are terrible . Shurhold needs a Griots G8 as a role model its 700 watts and the ergonomics are incredibly good the G8 is a good length and weight and vibration is minimal. Problem with G8 , its only 3 inch . However the 700 watts is enough to “push” a 5 inch pad. Meanwhile back at Shurhold ranch , the outrageously cheap power cord a real embarrassment for this polisher , the pvc jacket has a memory problem and it kinks and will not relax and is a real pain in the . Would rubber SO cord be too hard to fit here ? I used it 7 years ago for a brief time , I decided to try it again and see if it has any redeeming qualities, it was garbage then and still is . Pass on this one , its overpriced fecal matter. Managing a 20 ft power cord with kinks and permanent bends is an experience that shouts CHEAP to the user. I used it for an hour and my hands vibrated for 2 hours after i put it down. This is a poorly designed and executed polisher it does however make decent door stop as long as its not plugged in.

This product works on US electrical system and will NOT work in UK and other countries. It is falsely advertised in pounds and for sale in UK with no warning that not useable. I unfortunately only found this out after 30 days return was completed. It is not just a case of plug but machine works on US voltage system. Seller not interested in dealing with this. It is advertised as available in UK with no warning.Do NOT buy this if you are in UK and the response to the seller name 'WhyNotOutside-UStoUK'r is simple - because your expensive electrical product is designed only to work in US

Used for buffing and polishing gelcoat on a fjord boat. Produces outstanding results.I also use it on my VOLVO with equally good results.

We hike the back country a lot, which means driving overgrown, rocky dirt roads. It's not uncommon for us to come home with the car covered in dust and scrapes. I've tried using those polishers that attach to the end of a drill, but this is WAY better. It doesn't just spin in a circle. It moves around so that no matter what I do I don't get weird streaks and swirls. The best thing is that it makes all those scrapes from branches disappear. The manual was a huge help if figuring out how to use the machine the best way and how to use products to buff everything out. I couldn't believe it. Marks that have been there for years are gone! This might be a little thing for some, but I was really impressed by the thought that went into the bag too. It has handles and a detachable shoulder strap. The stitching is solid. The best thing, though, is that it hold everything I need and when you open it, the top is reinforced in a way that makes the bag stay open. I can take things in and out as I need them, then zip it all back up when I'm done. It was great not having to dig around in a floppy bag when I needed something. Plus the fabric has a coating on it, so nothing inside got wet while it was sitting on my driveway.I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Works great and saves time waxing and buffing the boat. Don't have to worry about burning or scuffing with this orbital unit. I use it on the cars too.

Designed for amateurs like me; used to apply oxidation remover from our dark colored hull, worked super! Accomplished more in 2-hrs with this polisher than I did in 2-days manually. Now our hull looks like new! Comes with a well thought out kit - different attachments for various tasks...all in a handy carrying case. Watch their videos on YouTube - very helpful.

Really nice device! Lot of reviews about the switch being in a bad spot but found it to be a non issue. There are you tube videos how to move the switch to the top that's easy to do. Never got a shine like this on a car before!! Read directions on what speed to use for type of polish and wax and your good to go.

This is my 1988 Sea Ray 340 and I have never had a shine like this for the past four years I've owned her ! I used the Shurhold 2step process an the results speak for themselves. I've used other buffers that were large, 10inch and couldnt get in to places like I did witht the 5" backing of this polisher. Nice twenty foot cord was an added touch!Four stars for these reasons: The power switch is in an area that gave my thumb a nasty blister after one day of use. The speed adjustment dial is at the very end of the polisher on the handle, you actually have to look at it to adjust it.I would highly recommend this polisher to anybody considering getting a nice, easy to use, polisher that wants optimal results.

Bought this at the end of last summer to clean and polish the hull of my boat. Previously I was using good, old fashioned elbow grease. You know, there is a lot of hull on the bottom of a boat (ANY boat) and this polisher made that job a whole lot easier. The pads secure quickly and easily via Velcro and do not slip. The polisher provides adjustable speeds, depending on what you are doing. It appears to be very well built, sturdy and not too heavy. It does get tiring after a while holding this thing up against the bottom hull of a boat, but it was sure easier than doing it all by hand. Glad I bought this and hopes it last for years.

This isn't the usual cheap plastic buffer generally found at an auto parts chain store; it's a serious tool and built to last. I am highly satisfied with it.There are two negatives as I see it: it's heavy and I don't like the feel of the on-off switch. I'm willing to overlook both as ruggedness follows weight and the switch is a purely individual choice.Buy that cheap buffer for your brother in law but buy this one for yourself. It made quick work of buffing my boat's gelcoat and removing the oxidation; no swirl marks and no burning. Speaking of boats, you won't get electrocuted with the buffer gets wet; there is built in GFCI protection.
