How to Connect Louvers to Tilt Bar - Vinyl, Polysatin type

Shutter Repair Slider Connector for Polysatin Shutter (2 Connect 3.25" Center spacing)

STEP 1

  • Remove broken connectors

Inspect and remove all damaged or malfunctioning connectors.

STEP 2

  • Insert New Connectors into Louvers

Push the large end (right side) of the new connector into the corresponding connection point on the louve.Then gently but firmly push the small end (left side) of the connector into the louver to ensure a secure fit.

STEP 3

  • Slide Tilt Bar and Install End Caps

Slide and secure the tilt bar into the installed connectors(Trim off the 2 end connectors as needed),Insert the two end caps and use glue as needed for fixation.

* Note: If the old end caps are glued and cannot be removed completely, simply open them enough to slide the connectors in (as illustrated in the picture).

Replace all connectors on the tilt bar if shutter is >5 years old (due to sun damage), even if only some are broken, to avoid further breakage.

Just make sure to apply good amount of heat before putting these in to shutter slat. Not even one broke while inserting into shutter.
