Its compact construction if perfect for sailboats and other applications in which space is at a premium It's a drop in replaacement for controls sold by NW, Onan, TX, Vetur, Volvo and others. Uses 3300 type controls. Not suitable for use with Mercury and OMC OEM type control cables that have "eye" terminals at the control end of the cable. Excellent replacement for both outboard and sterndrive controls using universal (3300/33 type cables. For outboards optional neutral safety switch is strongly recommended. CA27090P below.

This design is really bad. Getting your boat into gear all relies on a 1 millimeter safety pin (the button that lets you warm up the engine at higher rpm). This pin failure will leave you in neutral in a best case scenario. There is way too much tension in the cable and on the transmission for a 1 millimeter pin. I'd hate to know what would have happened if my boat were stuck in gear instead of neutral.

easy to install and works well with the Yanmar engine,compatible with the Spinlock control adapter to allow removal of the handle while the engine is not in operation.
