I'm responsible for an old family property out in the country with a long picket fence that's starting to show it's age, especially the old wooden 4x4 posts (and 6x6s at the gates & corners) supporting the whole thing. Unprotected for I don't know how long, there's plenty of rot, but with these caps I can prevent it from getting much worse.The listing says they work for nominal (3.5") and true (4") posts. The way it works is there is a 1/4" insert within the edge of each cap, holding snug for wood posts, or remove the insert for metal or plastic posts.The set of 12 includes 25 little screws with painted black heads, so if you lose or break one just don't lose or break another. And you will want to pre-drill to install the screws, and I recommend using an impact driver to screw in all the 24 little screws rather than suffering through them with a manual hand tool.I have a total of 36 posts needed so I ordered these to try them out as "free" product (I do have to pay income tax, so will still owe ~50%). They work well enough that I just gladly ordered 2 more sets at the retail price.As advertised, completely satisfied.

The plastic seems cheaper quality, doesn't impress me much. Not sure if the screws provided will screw through the plastic posts. I like how the insert comes out so it fits the 4 inch post, but it was a battle to pry it apart. The insert comes inside the post cap, it is 2-pieces, but I didn't realize it for awhile. The color is an expected white. The dimensions of the dressy part of the cap is smaller in size than I expected. The post cap doesn't sit on the post very deep, so I am afraid it will blow off in the wind. It came with screws and premachined holes. It was easy to assemble it on top of the post.

These post caps fit a treated 4x4, which is really 3.5" x 3.5". They are easily installed and screws are included.

I got these caps to replace the worn out wood caps I originally put on the posts. These look better than the old ones ever did. I love the thick plastic used in these caps. They should last a long time. These fit the 3.5 inch posts perfectly with no adjustments. You can easily remove the inside adapter if you need to put them on 4x4 inch vinyl posts. If you want long-lasting protection for your posts, these have you covered.

Very glad to have found these versatile fence post caps. They fit both bare nominal and true wooden 4x4 posts as well as wooden posts sleeved by vinyl. The caps have a removalable insert that allows the adjustment to accept a wider than nominal base. They are easy to install with the 2 provided screws for each cap and great "how to" instructions provided. These vinyl caps are a great value and essential in prolonging the life of your exterior wood railings and posts.

These Siedinlar 4x4 Pyramid Post Caps are easy to use and look great. The top of my mailbox post had started to erode due to exposure to the elements and an intrusive woody shrubs that wrapped around it. These posts were exactly what was needed to prevent further erosion and upgrade the look of a plain mailbox post.

These are simple, really well-made, and provide a good look. And, the design thought that went into them is admirable. They will fit on both square wood posts and, with the included adapter, they fit the synthetic posts. Even the inserted adapter was given 4 screw holes to make it that much easier for the buyer to install without having to rotate the adapter to line it up if it had only two holes. I have now ordered a few of this company's products and have come to the conclusion that these guys put time, thought, design skills and quality materials into their products. I may sound a little over the top, but it's so nice to find a Chinese company that excels like this. If you want to have that finished look on your fence posts, you will be happy with this product which is why I say...don't hesitate...I would definitely order this product again!

Ilike the fact that these post caps have an interior liner that is removable in case the cap isn't fitting the post quite right. They are a nice satin black, not super shiny and yet not entirely dull like it has faded either. The only thing I don't care for is that the manufacturer put their name stamped into the cap right on the top of the post cap where it stands out and is quite obvious. I would have preferred the manufacturer put it elsewhere, such as on the side of the post cap where it would stand out so much. Overall these are nice post caps at a good price at the time I ordered them. I can't speak to their longevity or whether or not there will be issues with them fading in the sun because I have only just received them, however if my opinion should change I will come back and adjust my review accordingly.
