It was a good replacement for the original one I had. The spring on the original had come out and it wouldn't stay shut properly.This one uses flexible metal coil strips instead of the small springs. The body is made of metal and has a dark gray color, which I like. It looks to be well made and will probably last a long time. The screw holes are standard and were exactly where the original holes were. It's a little tricky screwing on though. You need to hold the flap open to access the holes, and I don't believe the flap is capable of locking in the fully open position. Also, I didn't like the foam backing. It tried to be universal and had too many cutouts. I wound up removing too many of the cutouts, making it pretty much useless for my receptacle. Luckily, the original backing was still in good shape and I was able to reuse it.Overall, despite it's few shortcomings, I'm satisfied with it.

This was the perfect replacement for the outdoor plug on my front porch. Amazon most often comes though with helping me find unique and hard to find items.
