My previous vehicle had two small wells built into the sides of the center console and it was a perfect place to put my work badge to keep it handy to get into the garage at work. Sadly, my new 20205 Forester had no such storage well so when I saw this I had to try it. It's nice thick silicon rubber and fits perfectly around the shift lever and the cut out for the P-N-D indicator matched up perfectly and is easy to read. It stays put and does not slide around and will protect all of that shiny plastic trim in that area. As mentioned the two side pockets are not very deep. My work badge fits nicely but a part of it is still visible and accessible even when it is on it's side. A modern Iphone or Samsung would not comfortably fit in the pocket but for smaller items it is perfect. If you happen to get something small like crumbs in the pockets it is easy to remove and just shake them out. Very pleased with this protector and it should last a nice long time.

This shift panel cover is overpriced for what is essentially just a piece of silicone. While it does provide protection for the scratch-prone plastic around the shift knob, the fit is not perfect—it constantly shifts out of place while driving or even when parked. The so-called "non-slip" design does not hold up. The storage pockets are also too small to fit a phone, making them useful only for keys or a small bifold wallet. The ease of installation and cover match works well. Overall, the concept is good, but the execution is lacking, and for the price, I expected much better.

If either seat is pulled up too close to the dashboard, the little pockets on the sides don't have room between the seat and the gear shift console. The little pockets are a great idea but I can't think of what I would put in them, plus they are shallow. The item fits perfectly, but there's nothing holding it in place, so it slips back towards the console, exposing some of the vulnerable area. I'm going to experiment with putting a few dots of Fun-Tak underneath to keep it in place.

I just bought a 2025 Subaru Forester and when I saw this Silicone Gear Shift Protective Panel Cover I knew I had to have it. It’s made with precision to fit - I just placed it on top and it fit perfectly! With a side pocket on either side, that’s just enough to hold small tissue or pens. The panel is a high gloss plastic and this cover is a matte black. Should last as long as I want to keep it.

I recently bought this silicone cover, and I like it a lot! The durable, water-resistant material is great in case my kids spill something, and the sleek black design elevates the interior of my car. This fits well and offers great protection to the shiny material it covers which scratches very very very easily. It does, however, slip downward often so you need to keep sliding it back up into place. Would have been great if they designed to avoid this.Also, the photos don't represent the storage areas correctly. A phone will not fit there. I could tell the product image was a rendering, but wish the size of those areas were represented more accurately.In any case, I still like it because of the protection offered. But because of the drawbacks mentioned, it seems a bit overpriced.
