I love bristlon brushes for oil painting. They keep their form longer than other brands.I used my other Bristlon size 0 until I wore it to a nub. This size is especially good for making the finishing details of an oil painting such as the glint in an eye or the finer strokes in a mass of hair or feathers.My collection of brushes includes many brands such as Winsor and Newton, Da vinci, Escoda, Kolibri, Princeton,etc but I always reach for these. If I were to compare them to another brand, they are like Winsor and Newton which are still made in England when nowadays everything is made in China.I trying to buy things NOT made in China as often as I can, especially art supplies. These are made in Japan.
