It needs a spacer and longer bolt to line up with the chain. Doesn't make much sense because the 10 tooth drive sprocket has a large gap between the cover plate and this lines up with the cover plate not the sprocket to be in line for the chain to use it.

They don't work as described no matter how many times you adjust your bracket the chain will still pop off

I bought this and it wore out in about 2 months. Had to go buy a brand new that last so much longer.

I needed this guide wheel to help prevent a problem that I have with the chain on my bicycle coming off the front sprocket. It then gets lodged between the sprocket and the frame and is difficult to dislodge. Although this tensioner is not intended for the purpose that I have adapted it to do, it looks like it is going to do the job. Well, that doesn't apply to others who might purchase this product, so my review is simply that this is a solid, well made item that should be dependable and durable for its intended purpose as a tensioner.

No matter how straight the chain was it would bind up the chain and make it pop off.
