Works good for the low price, surprisingly clear glass and good picture. Not a great scope, not even a good scope, but it works better than anything else at this price point and is perfectly usable. It comes with medium height weaver rings, which seem nice and should be factored into the price, although I ended up using something lower height. This is a perfectly functional scope that will do everything you need it to do, and do it durably and reliably. You’ll want something better, you’ll want something with better glass and a better reticle, but this works perfectly fine.Crosshairs are a little thick, and the drop compensating reticle is a gimmick for the intended use of this scope - I do wish they would’ve just used a regular plex reticle which probably would’ve been a little finer.I do feel the quality control is a lot higher with name brands like this, even if they’re bottom of the barrel, than with off brand scopes. Bushnell/Simmons is at least putting some QC into these, where the off-brand scopes (Barska, CVLife, UTG, random made-up names, etc) are all over the place - someone gets a perfect one, the next day someone gets one where the crosshairs fall out. With this Simmons, you know you’re getting a functional, reliable scope. The price is about on par with the off-brand scopes, but you’re getting way better QC.Do not expect Vortex or Nikon performance out of this, but it’s about on par with Bushnell’s Banner line of scopes. If nothing else, it’s light years better than a Barska, UTG, CVLife, etc.

An excellent but basic rim fire scope.

Bought this for a rifle that needs dovetail rings. Specifically picked this one because it said it comes with dovetail rings. Unfortunately came with Weaver rings. I can use those weaver rings on other things, but the gun this was meant for needs a dovetail set. Luckily, I bought a set separately just to be on the safe side so warning if you need dovetail rings, you may need to buy them separately.
