I had a very similar one of these that I was using this fall that had a metal clip used in it's construction. While pulling full bore, the clip sprung or broke, who knows, and I ended up on my face. The could have been pretty serious if I had fallen on a staub or something so I was pretty ticked.This one has no clips and is constructed entirely with stitching. I'll trust stitching over a metal clip any day. This one isn't as good as the long time one that I had that is currently missing but it looks to be good enough. I do like the addition of a pull handle strap that my old one didn't have. If the stitching hold I'd say this is a very good game drag. I won't know until my next score but it looks really good.
