Got this because it looks nice, and hoped the “push-in” flap would be more energy efficient/draft blocking than my current flap. However, it doesn’t come with a back plate and doesn’t appear to be compatible with standard brass back plates or privacy covers because the mounting screws go through the door with screw-on brass caps on the backside, and the screws are longer than my door thickness. I am going to try to trim the screws and make it work with the backplate/privacy cover I have, but it’s going to take some doing. Suggest only getting this slot if you don’t want/need a backplate and are willing to adjust the screw lengths.

I can't use it. It is only the outside plate and 2 screws. There is no thru door sleeve or inside plate how am i supose to use it if i can't get the parts needed?
