First, I ride a Onewheel. So if you know anything about that, you should know nosedives is a major concern. When you crash on the board you typically fall forward with your hands outstretched. This gloves saved me twice from serious injury. When skating and falling, it’s better to slide then to grip the ground. If had grippy or unprotected hand, I would’ve hit the ground hard and broke my forearm or wrist.Wrist guards work too but are awkward to wear and gear that’s not comfortable, you likely won’t wear. These gloves are comfortable. Just remember to get one size larger then you typically wear since they run small.Buying a second pair because they are just that good.

I’ve used athletic gloves for decades. These far exceeded my expectations especially for the price. Definitely upsize. If you wear a medium get the large. I use them for roller blading but also parkour. The shielding is big enough for protection but small enough for maneuvering.

These are perfect for onewheels and skateboards. They let you slide to keep from breaking your wrist or arm.

The plastic works by allowing the hand/wrist to slide during a fall and thus preventing the arm from being locked in a bad position during a fall. That’s the theory at least and I can say I’ve taken a couple minor spills at slower speeds (

I've been using Powerslide Race Gloves for 5 years now. I lost my gloves somewhere & needed a replacement set quickly so I ordered these because shipping was a lot cheaper.Anyone who's used the Powerslide version of these, knows that they run a bit big, but the sizing difference between these gloves is ridiculous.I am a 6' 1" tall male with normal hands for someone my size. I wear Powerslide Race gloves in size Medium. I ordered size Large Flying Eagle gloves & they are SO tight that my fingers loose circulation.I desperately need a set of gloves now, but will need to return these & wait for the Powerslide gloves.Be warned.

Good product. They work. Plastic removable palm guard is a little annoying and comes off very easily. Don’t know if it would stay on if landing on the palm in a crash.
