About this item

  • Demo Guitar Case Soft f Flying V

If you own a V-type guitar you need a special case to keep your unique guitar looking its best between gigs. The 1SKB-SC58 is a lighter constructed case that gives you excellent protection at an exceptional price. The SKB 1SKB-SC58 fits V-style guitars and offers the superior protection of the very same rigid-foam inserts found in SKB's hardshell guitar case line, but with the style and portability of a softshell gigbag or backpack case. SKB soft guitar cases feature a rugged, weather-resistant, 600-denier ballistic nylon exterior with a hard-core EPS foam interior to provide more substantial protection than a conventional gig bag. The SKB 1SKB-SC58's exterior features two zippered pouches, one with numerous internal compartments for organized accessory storage, and an adjustable padded backpack strap for easy transport. The hard foam interiors are plush-lined and offer full-neck support to cradle the guitar neck more securely than a conventional guitar gigbag.

Great quality, like all the other SKB soft cases I have. These are really the way to go now for cases. Fits my JS32 RR model perfectly.

La custodia è perfetta ed fatta di un materiale molto resistente, ed é pure comoda da portare... che dire e stupendamente perfetta

I like this case. It's light but rigid, filled with EPS foam, with the usual fuzzy interior lining. There is an internal storage pocket under the neck support. The exterior pockets are decent, and the backpack straps are a nice feature but I probably won't be using them much. The light weight of the case and the straps would make this ideal if you had to do a lot of walking with your guitar. I do feel that this case adds lots more protection compared to a padded gig bag. I also like the showiness of the "Vee" shape of the case as opposed to a square or triangle shape. The fact that you have to run the zipper almost all the way around to open and close is a bit of a down side, compared to the usual 3 hasp latches on a wood style hard case. But the zipper seems heavy duty enough. And, this is not the kind of case you want to sit on, accidentally or on purpose... If you are toting a lot of gear in your vehicle be sure to put this on the top, not the bottom of the pile.

ma guitare rentre parfaitement dedans, l'etui est incroyablement leger, mais parait pourtant indestructible.un choix que je referai sans aucune hesitation

This case is a GREAT option between a soft gig bag and a hard-shell case. This case fits both my $300 Jackson "Randy Rhodes" V and my $800 ESP LTD LDJ600V Dan Jacobs Signature model. The fit for the Jackson is a tiny bit tight due to the more pointy edges but isn't a problem. The fit for the ESP is a little more loose but still does it's job perfectly!! I personally like this case better than a traditional hard shell case because of the shoulder straps. I would defiantly suggest this case to a friend!!

i have a Gibson Melody Maker Flying V. unlike most Gibson USA gigbags, the gigbag that came with the guitar is actually pretty solid for what it is. but i just needed a hard case and would absolutely recommend any Flying V, Flying Star, or similarly awkward shaped guitar owner to get a hard case as well.My Gibson Melody Maker Flying V fits in the SKB case perfectly. it APPEARS most other GIBSON Flying Vs would probably fit in there pretty perfectly as well...my Gibson Melody Maker Flying V has a noticeably chunkier neck than most standard Gibson Flying Vs i've seen, but the way this case is designed, it does not appear that would make a difference. The MMFV also has a smaller headstock, again no issues and it looks to be like the case was designed for the bigger standard V headstock, so it's pretty versatile in fitting my guitar perfectly. the case quality, durability, construction and functionality are top notch. compared to what is out there, especially for flying V's- this case was an absolute bargain and a definite home run. highly recommended.

All Jackson flying V owners rejoice!!!! No more lugging that huge Jackson V case around. My King V fits like a glove so I am almost positive that the Rhoads V will also. I am buying another one so as soon as I get that I will let everybody know for sure if a Rhoads V fits but I am 99.9% sure it will. This case is a god send. It is built well. Its more like a hardshell case with a soft exterior because the inside is sturdy and the case has pockets which make carrying extras a breeze.

This is a well made item, but is much larger than a soft case normally is. Very boxy. Looked smaller to me.

I've been looking for a guitar case for my flying V guitar but I didn't want a huge heavy hard case. So I found this one. I was 50/50 about this product and had the impression it was going to be heavy. But the moment I received it, I was happy with the quality. My guitar fit with no extra space, n the case is light weight including my guitar in it and the way is well put together to protect ur guitar is perfect! This guitar case can take a hit and a drop n still no damage on my guitar. I'm glad that I bought this n i don't regret it, and the price is fair unlike other guitar cases for flying V shapes are over $200 bucks.

This case, while it may have the appearance of the typical soft-cover case, it is anything but. Beneath the nylon exterior lies hard and durable rigid foam protection with delightfully soft plush interior to literally cradle your V-type guitar. I myself have an Epiphone '58 Korina Flying V and it fits like a glove. The interior has solid neck support, a hidden compartment to store a spare set of strings, picks, tuner, cleaning cloth, etc., and literally nothing that could harm (but everything that will protect) your guitar. The exterior has two zipper compartments: one along the neck of the guitar (which looks ideal for storing cables), and the other over the body of the guitar, which has a good number of zipper and velcro compartments for you to store papers and other smaller items in. The case may be carried either by adjustable straps on your back, or the traditional carry to your side. While on the pricey side, seriously think about if you want to skimp on a proper guitar case that will protect your axe during travel, from bangs and nicks, and from sudden climate changes. Yeah, our guitars are precious to us and the last thing we'd want is for a protective case to fail us. I can say with confidence that I am very pleased with SKB's V case and it is probably the best you can get for its price range.Overall, I'd highly recommend it.

I was looking for a gig bag to transport my flying v's. A hardshell case has always bee touted as the best protection, but I have some situations where I need the over-the-shoulder portability of a gig bag. Well, let me just say I had a real heck of a time finding ANYTHING. TKL makes a gig bag that is included with gibson's faded flying v and I would have bought one of those, but none were available at the time. Just as well, Iv'e owned one before and they're neither terribly protective nor confortable to carry, having only one shoulder strap. Ritter used to make some very portable gig bags with two straps for v's and explorers, but they're not very protective, cost about as much as this skb case and are fairly hard to come by in this country. This new SKB case is fantastic. It's reasonably lightweight, has two straps so it can be worn like a backpack and protects the instrument very very well. The downsides to this case are that the large pocket is not large enough to fit the 3-ring binder i use for my music notes and the zipper is a little bit inconvenient. They made the case follow the contours of the guitar, which means to zip/unzip you have to run the zipper almost all the way around. I would have preferred the shape of the case to have a flat bottom, but that's pretty minor overall. Be careful to make sure the retaining straps are clear of the zipper before you close the case as it can be a pain to work them out of the zipper.Overall though, I'm quite impressed and now looking at replacing the gig bags for my others guitars with the same type. Too bad they don't have one for a full size dreadnaught.
