This is a nice little trainer harness for little learners. The buckles are easy to adjust to a good snug fit, you don't want this hanging like a backpack even though it sort of it one. It isn't a full harness, but it works well. I appreciate the retractable leash, I can use it for all sorts of other things (dogs lol) when it isn't ski season.

Full disclosure for my review: I did not buy this for use with a child. I bought for the retractable leash portion only to use with my dogs, but I found an alternative use that has come in very handy.First, the retractable leash portion: The lead is an excellent length (16 feet) and despite being relative narrow, is very strong. I use it with an adult male Great Dane and I have no issues at all with that large of a dog being too much for the leash. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable in my hand and the retract action is also strong. Second, the harness will absolutely attache to my dog and hold securely. I feel better doing that so that I am not pulling on his collar around his neck. It provides more secure control over leading him. The quality of this to the price is excellent.

a must for training kids for snowboarding. It's great quality and works well. It is very functional and great that it has a pocket for snacks, etc. It is easy to use and the design is great.

One star is even too good for this product. Don’t buy! It’s very dangerous and terrifying!!! A critical part - the connector - that ensure safety is broken at first time we put it in - even before we use it!! Very terrifying about the poor quality!

Went skiing and used this on my 4 year old son. It was his first time skiing. I have 2 older kids who are more seasoned skiers and didn’t want to stay on the bunny slopes the whole time. This backpack was perfect! He skied while a skied behind him using the leash. We were able to go on the regular ski lifts and runs without me worrying he wouldn’t be able to stop quickly if needed. It was easy to use, functioned as expected, value for money was great, even had a little storage for his scarf and gloves. I am SO glad I purchased! It made our trip so memorable and exciting!
