WHOLLY HAPPY!!!! These are AWESOME compared to those poor sheet metal excuses of charcoal holders that came with my big name kettle. These holders feel like they belong, nice and heavy, super shiny, and hold like 30 times the charcoal of my old ones. The air vents are way smaller (but there are more of them) which helps hold the charcoal in so it all burns under your food instead of in the very bottom of the pit in the ash catcher.

Good finish! Thick metal construction that mates the original Webers pale in comparison. And at good price.

Fit well into our portable grill. It’s kind of a square grill so we only needed to use one side. Gives us that hot and cold area for either slow cooking or smoking.

I’m replacing the standard Weber baskets with these. It’s a pretty thick gauge steel, it feels pretty quality but cannot verify the quality of the steel as it is a Chinese made product. Due to the extra depth I’m pretty sure one can hold a whole Weber chimney’s worth of coals. It looks like it’ll provide sufficient air flow from underneath. I’ll update once I run a load of coals through them.Edit: Tested it out today, happy with it. Used only one basket to reverse sear some brined pork chops. I left the vents open for a bit and had no trouble reaching over 500. One basket will hold roughly 3/4 of a Weber chimney. Due to the height of the basket if you overfill then your grate will be resting on the coals. The height is good for searing as the coals are up close to the meat. You’ll need to be a little more vigilant not to over sear with the coals that close.
