This is a great opener, very quiet and efficient. Fairly easy to install. Love the LED light.BUT, Homelink (the overhead garage door opener buttons on most newest cars), will NOT work with any Skylink opener. I spent hours on the phone troubleshooting with Hyundai and Skylink. Only when I called Homelink was I told Homelink and Skylink were not compatible. To make them work together you have to purchase a receiver from Liftmaster. If using Homelink is important to you, you should get another brand of opener.

The SkyLink garage door opener was fairly easy to install. I used the videos that were suggested, to do the installation. The videos weren't exactly matching the model that I bought but still worked well. I had to install some wood blocks to mount the safety photo-eyes on, as the tracks of my garage door were too large to clip the Photo-eye brackets on as shown in the instructions. I also found it a bit unclear on connecting the control wiring as the video gave the wrong colors of the wires and wasn't clear enough that the plastic cover should be in place before the connection and setup is done.I was very impressed on how smoothly and quietly the opener, with the DC motor, worked. The opener handled my 16 foot wide door with no problems even though it is physically much smaller than my old opener that was removed from service. This opener was the most economical, for the size I needed, that I could find on Amazon; and also it didn't have the WIFI connection and control that I did NOT want or need. The remotes are easy to set up and have very good operating range. This opener works GREAT and will save you several dollars on the purchase price.

I really liked this unit after having it professionally installed. The best feature is how quite it is! But after one month unit stopped working. Called and spoke with Yasmin in technical support who was attempting to have me re-set the unit. I explained that I couldn't reach the unit with my car parked underneath. She told me to move my car by pulling on the emergency cord to manually open the door, yet upon pulling repeatedly, the door would not open. I ended the conversation as I could not open the door to move my car, and called my contractor instead. He came out and again we both struggled with the emergency cord. I called tech support back and right away the technician told me to pull the cord down and then pull to the right?! Magically this worked. You would have thought all technicians should be trained to tell their customers the proper and very simple procedure to open the garage door manually:( I am not technically savvy with garage doors... The unit has no power at all and the company is sending out a replacement unit, although I will have to pay to have the next one installed. I believe the company should bear responsibility for having to replace a faulty unit that only lasted one month.**Update 4/3/22, broke again! Same issue with the newer opener, no power...twice in less than one year;(

Update rating from 1 star to 3 star as unit is working better after Support provided a modified procedure for the firmware in my unit. Old firmware had manual force adjustments, new firmware has automatic force adjustment that occurs during the door cycles immediately after the set limit procedure. There is still some issues in the new firmware design as the unit performs an automatic force adjustment when the door is first cycled following a power outage. We have frequent power outages. The force on the system during the automatic force adjustment is so great that the T-bar bends under the force as it tries to close the already closed door. While this might be acceptable for a one-off adjustment, it becomes scary is seeing the Tbar bend after every power outage. Poor firmware design as it should not apply such great force to simply sense the close force and will lead to premature system failure. Given these added stresses, I doubt it will last like my Liftmaster that is still going strong after 20 years.

Easy installation, although I did elect finally to replace everything, not just the motor. The new chain is actually half chain, half cable, and that reduces the noise of operation.I love the LED light. The force adjustment went awry when ice formed on the floor, so I chipped it off and recalibrated the force, and now all is well again.

Our garage door is old and heavy, but this tiny DC-motor opener opens it very easily while keeping a constant speed. Only when it closes the door, it seems to slow down before the door hits the ground. The assembly was easy, requiring very few screws. In fact, the help video was outdated as the model I received had even less assembly steps and needed less screws. The only step that I struggled with was the attachment of the steel-wire to the bike-chain. I had to open up the tention part, which will later pull the two edges together, to the very end of its travel and use every little extender that came with the product. But the best thing is how easy it is to train the opener to the right force up and down, as well as the two travel end points. It is basically completely automatic. With the old (2011) opener that i have on another garage door, it took me hours to tinker with the four force and stop limits turn-knobs after adding a thicker rubber piece at the bottom of the door, leading to a new close position. Finally, it is quiet, and has a very bright LED light in it. By far the best garage opener that I ever saw on the market, and at a relatively very low price!

Entre todas las opciones consultadas, ésta fue la mejor por su precio y potencia. Tardamos unos meses en instalarlo pero no hubo problemas con ayuda del experto, funciona verdaderamente bien y pareciera que va a durar mucho tiempo sin problemas.

I bought this garage door opener because 1) The price is fantastic! And 2) The reviews were good.It did not disappoint! This item was delivered to me in about a week. (Note - the box it comes in weighs about 35 pounds so bring your car with you to the post office!)All of the pieces required to install this garage door opener were included. The instructions were straight forward and my husband and I were able to install this system in just a couple of hours (and still liked each other afterwards, yay!)This unit is very small, about half the size of my previous garage door opener. It lifts my double door no problem. The remote that comes with it is small and can either go on your visor in your car or can attach to your key chain. It is quite sensitive - I have a very long driveway and it works from the bottom of the driveway with no issues. This garage door opener is VERY quiet. It is quite a bit slower than my last garage door opener, but it is also less "jerky" which I believe will put less wear and tear on it in the long run. The LED light goes on automatically when you push the button and it is VERY bright.Overall, I would have paid more for a unit like this. It works perfectly, was easy to install, and is so very quiet. My only issue is that it comes with only ONE remote, and though I have purchased two different kinds of remotes to try to sync to it, I have been unable. Fortunately my husband is okay with getting out of his truck to open and close it, as the only remote is in my vehicle.Pros:QuietEasy to installLifts a double door no problemCons: Comes with only one remote and have been unsuccessful in pairing another remote to it.Update: 4 years later this garage door opener is still going strong. No complaints.

This is extremely quiet as described in the specification. I am still trying to get use to how quiet it is since I have been hearing my old noisy opener for years. I am so glad I bought this opener. It is compact, very easy to install, more powerful than my old noisy 1/2 Hp Genie, and the price is awesome. Seriously, this is so quiet, the only way I can verify the door is close or open is by actually looking in the garage sometime to visually see if the door is close or open. I will love to attach the hub to it some day to get the garage door status notification on my cell phone and be able to close or open it from anywhere in the world. Great product, will recommend it.
