The system can be operated thermostatically or manually from the transmitter. The system operates on radio frequencies (RF) within a 20' range using non-directional signals. The system operates one of 1,048,567 security codes that are programmed into the transmitter at the factory; the remote receiver's code must be matched to that of the transmitter prior to initial use.

We lost our original one with Hurricane Helene's rains coming down inside our fireplace (winds blew off chimney top). We ordered this replacement, which came quickly. Got the easy to read instructions, took it step by step and it worked immediately. So very nice to be able to use our firelogs!

The original remote control we had for our fireplace only had an on and off switch so we replaced it with this one and well it takes a minute to get used to setting the thermostat it’s absolutely fantastic to be able to have it come on in the middle of the night when the temperatures dip too frosty
