The system can be operated thermostatically or manually from the transmitter. The system operates on radio frequencies (RF) within a 20' range using non-directional signals. The system operates one of 1,048,567 security codes that are programmed into the transmitter at the factory; the remote receiver's code must be matched to that of the transmitter prior to initial use.

We purchased this on the recommendations of SkyTech Tech Support because the customer's existing remote was obsolete so they retrofit this to work and it's perfect. AWESOME job SkyTech.

Called manufacture and they advised this is the replacement model for the older Skytech RCT-MLT-IIInstalled exactly as previous model was and worked perfectly.

I have version 2 of this and popped the ground. This is more direct I believe. It works for sure. I'm very happy that I'm finally able to turn on my fireplace from the couch

Work less than a year. Remote turns fan on and off but not the fire. Will try to connect the seller onefireguy.Reach out to the manufacturer for warranty. Send the photos of the device and detailed description of the issue. After several emails back and forth manufacturer wanted me to send the device for evaluation at my shipping cost with no guarantee of repair or replacement honoring the warranty. Stay away from this manufacturer. I would have given 0 stars if that was available.

I have only had it installed about three weeks and it works just fine. The backlighting is weak so I need it under a light to see my settings.
