This sleepsheet was perfect protection for sleeping in hostels on warm summer nights. It was lightweight and took up minimal space in my backpack. I ended up using it the entire summer and into early fall. Love it.However, I was never able to fold it back into the pouch which was never a problem.

Love the concept of this product but wished the side flaps that overlap each other were sewn closed to prevent night jungle bugs from getting in. The zipper at the feet does make a slight sound at night with movement. I think I will sew the side flap edges together then it will be perfect.

I have backpacked for many years throughout most of the Western United States and generally in the mountains. I know the value of sleeping bag liners to keep you warm. As I have gotten older and seldom backpack anymore I now use the liners for when I travel. I saw this liner and asked Amazon to review it.For this review, I decided to compare this liner with one of my old lightweight liners. On my scale, this liner weighs 14.5 ounces. My old liner weighs 9 ounces. This liner has 2 layers that can cover you while my old liner only has one. With this liner, you lay it out and put the layers over you. My old liner required that I crawl into it like a big sack. I measured the widest part of this liner as 34 inches. My old line at its widest point was 23 inches. This liner allows you to cover yourself with one or 2 layers that lie over each other. My old line only had one. While this liner is a little heavier than my old one, it is much warmer. It has the added feature of several options: not covering yourself', using just one layer, or using two layers depending upon temperature. It is wide enough that if the temperature got really cold you could lie under it and have 3 layers. I tested this in a room where the temperature was 63 degrees. With my old liner, I got cold right away. With this liner, I got cold at about the same time with one layer. When I used two layers after 40 minutes I started getting a little cool. I didn't try putting the entire liner over me and having 3 layers. You might ask how much-added warmth will this give to your sleeping bag or quilt. There is no definite answer to that question. There are too many variables. It depends on things such as the person, the bag, the sleeping pad, the altitude, the hammock, and the outside temperature. My old liner was rated at giving you an additional 10 degrees of warmth. I always questioned that because I thought it might be a little high. All I can say is that this liner kept me much warmer.I have always had problems getting in and out of liners in a tight sleeping bag. That problem is compounded if you have to get up during the night to relieve yourself. If you get a liner you need to practice and have a system of getting in and out. The tighter the bag, the greater the problem. The main reason I gave this a 5-star rating is that it is just the best for traveling. In the summer I like to take a liner with me when traveling because I have a hard time sleeping on warm nights. With a normal liner, I have to crawl into it and it is like being in a sack. With this liner, you just set it out and then decide how many layers you want. It feels more like being in bed if that makes sense.I do have one complaint about this liner and I think I can remedy it. On two parts of the liner, there are two Velcro connections. That means if you don't attach them there are 4 Velcro parts in the liner that are all potentially close to your face. I don't like that because it seems I am always brushing my arms and face against the Velcro which just doesn't feel very good. To remedy this problem I am going to take the stitching out of the Velcro and take it off. If I have a problem I will sew on strings and tie the pieces together.I do have one other small thing to mention. When you get this the liner is folded up very tightly and put in the carrying bag. It was a little difficult getting it out. There was no way that I was ever going to be able to refold it to get it back in. Instead, I used it as a stuff sack and it was fine. You just need to really push it in there.

So my initial review, which was written in a tent at 1:00 in the morning after fighting with this thing, was probably overly unkind. So let me try again. Attempting to use this in the dark was very difficult. I've used several different sleep liners and most of them are stick your feet in pull it up over your butt bring it over your head and you're done. This one requires a lot more work because of the way they constructed the foot box. It requires a wrap around style that creates a wedge that essentially prevents your feet from getting cleanly in the foot box unless you maneuver a particular way. Once I was able to get it home and hang it up and we'll get it in the light of day I really do like the idea, but it does need to be re-engineered.

It’s as advertised a sleeping bag liner … but definitely not worth more than $5 the Velcro feature doesn’t keep the bag closed if you wiggle it will come undone

This liner is so practical and is light enough for me to add to my trekking pack. It icreases the temperatre rating with my outer bag allowing me to safely venture out into the Michigan lake trails in Winter.I also like that the zipper on the bottom gives me ventalation. It fits into any of my three different bags including my double wide. If you have to, two people can fit into this liner (albiet, snuggly) which also makes it a great for emergency preparation. This liner has cleaned easily washed by itself on cold and fluff dried on medium.Very pleased and blessed.
