I got this for a very specific reason: My father was stationed during WWII in India, China, and Burma. He was an avid photographer, and therefore I have loads of negatives he created in those locations. However, they are a large format, and thus every scanner I've tried would not scan them completely. And then I saw this light pad and had an idea. Suppose I put a negative on the pad, and then photographed it with my excellent DSLR. Then I could crop and "flip" it with my photo processing program.Well, I gave it a quick try with this photo of my Dad from probably the early1930s. I put down the negative, which wasn't perfectly flat. I handheld the camera. And then processed the image (cropped and inverted the negative to positive).Worked great, as you can see.The box is very nice. It is light. It has 3 levels of brightness. It has a measurement grid. All in all, a big success! I thank the manufacturer.Highly recommended.
