I think The Pleco Feeder is an ingenious product and it works well at keeping my fish's vegetables from floating and drifting around the tank. I used to just use a fork to spear it and hold it down. I noticed a white spot that's been starting to appear in the gravel where the food sits. I purchased The Pleco Feeder to keep the food from sitting on the gravel. In my 10 gallon aquarium, with a few inches of zucchini on it, it sits just above the gravel of my tank. It's really easy to use, but I do have some concerns about the sharp part. The tip of the spiral is sharp in order to slide effortlessly through vegetables, which it really does. I considered having my husband snipping that part off because I'm a little concerned about my pleco exposing it and hurting herself. The point does point towards the back, but I've caught her wedging herself between the food and the glass a few times. I've found if I just cut a round piece of zucchini a few inches long and run the spiral through the center, then screwing it through until I see it, then backing it out a full screw or two, that the point is so far into the food that she'd never reach it.The first time I put The Pleco Feeder into the tank, I did it right before lights out. That was a bit of a mistake because I checked on my fish webcam a few times to see her "fighting" the zucchini. She was sticking it over and over with her odontodes. I ended up having to remove it for the night because I was afraid it was stressing her out. I put it back in the following day with the lights on so that she could see it. After a few days, she now realizes it's food not foe and will eat from it all night.

This is my second feeder like this. Fun to watch different finny creatures eat from this. Made with quality parts and has has not shown any signs of rust.

Bought this to give my large pleco some treats in the form of veggies. I've been unhappy with the suction cup style and clips and this thing is just what I was looking for!Keeps it in place on the side of the tank, right where he likes to eat it. Stays in place, easy to use, easy to put in and remove from tank. All in all, very happy.

I use the Pleco feeder to feed discus freeze dried blackworm cubes and repashy gel food. The small feeder holds the food mid-column of a 24" tall tank. It is great for anchoring these larger food items and can be used for much more than just plecos and vegetables.

Works very well! Helps provide my fish with fresh food. My fish love to eat cucumbers and this holds them in place well. My fish have no trouble reaching and eating from it. The directions are easy to follow. Cut the vegetables to fit and push onto the spiral. Great addition for my tank!

I would recommend it's use in a larger tank. My one small pleco wasn't interested in zucchini and it just rotted.

I bought the smaller of the two for my 20 gal tank. I have a juvenile pleco that's only 2 1/2 months old. He loves this feeder. I put it in his tank with zucchini on it about 4 or 5 hrs ago and he hasn't left it yet. It's well made and makes it so much easier to pull food from the tank before it fouls the water. I'm going to buy a second larger one for my 75g tank next week. Pic is a bit blurry. Best I could do with my phone.
