This fully threaded rod is made of 18-8 stainless steel for corrosion resistance, has M8-1.25 right-hand threads, and is 1 m long. It meets Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) 975 specifications. The material may be slightly magnetic.
Threaded rods and studs are fasteners that screw into threaded nuts or tapped holes, allowing for assembly of components. The difference between rods and studs is length: In general, a stud is up to 1 foot long, and a rod is more than 1 foot long. Both have threads along part or all of their length. Those that are partially threaded have equal or unequal thread lengths on one or both ends. Studs are also available with a perforated base, weld projections, or a press-in captive head for securing to the surface of a component.

I needed a 12" bolt of this thread gauge. Apparently, commercial bolts of that length aren't available.So, after drilling the top of a same-gauge nut a bit wider in diameter, I welded a nut on one of the section of threaded rod to make my own super long bolt.The threaded rod was just what I needed to complete this subcomponent of a much larger project.

I was hoping to use this to replace a Z-axis lead screw on a 3D printer. Unfortunately, my printer's thread is 1.5 pitch, so I machined my original, rather than the replacement.Didn't check if it was stainless

I needed M8x1.0 studs. Granger had it. Most M8 threaded rod that you find is 1.25mm thread pitch. Thank you Granger!
