This product is a well constructed smart door lock with keyless entry that features a numeric key pad, fingerprint reader above it & a long door handle with an RF reader built-in which the door handle can be used for right or left hands. Installation is easy with step-by-step instructions, once you remove the previous door knob/lock this smart lock easily replaces it & assembles together with the other side of the handle that is opposite side of the door inside the home. Then you will need to download an app to setup Bluetooth wireless configuration so that you can lock/unlock the door, setup/change the numeric passcodes, add users, view times the door was opened/locked & you can setup an auto-lock timer from 5sec-300sec. Also included with the smart lock are 2 turn keys, 2 wireless key FOBs & a wireless Gateway router where you can that is WiFi enabled so you can unlock/lock & change the features from anywhere as long as the gateway is connected to the WiFi which is compatible with Google Assistant & Alexa. This a well working & nicely designed smart lock with door handle, it has lots of wireless security features & the price listed is a good value.

Keyhole magnetic cover has very weak magnets. 50 mph winds & it’s now gone. The keyhole is exposed. The unit itself is black & the hey compartment is silver. This is a poor design as the silver box is visible on the handle. Will be replacing my 2 locks with better designed locks. The locks work well. Disappointed for sure!

This is an AWESOME smart door lock! I was SO excited to replace our Tru Bolt smart door locks with these... The Tru Bolt door handles (we've had 2) have all died within 3 years. They (Tru Bolt) start having issues with their ability to lock and unlock themselves and sound like they are having trouble locking themselves. I like the idea of these finger print lock doors WITH their RFID chips because you do NOT have to use a number pad to unlock the door. Number pads are FINE when you are by yourself but when you may be with another person its a bit invasive for them to see you put in your code. I get this may not be an issue with family but my kids have "friends and acquaintances" come over a lot and they input the code in front of them. Its one of those "you never know" situations...The issue I had and maybe others may have is that we have STEEL cased doors (wood door wrapped in steel) and the previous door handles AND the Tru Bolt have the ability to remove the rectangular mount off of the latch part of the door handle. Then they are held in place by the internal screw posts rather then the plate and 2 screws that screw into the end of the door where it closes. Since my door does NOT have the rectangular shape cut into it. I unfortunately could NOT install these yet and have to either have someone come out who can cut this shape into my steel door i need to get creative with a whiz wheel and cutoff disc! I dont like the later option because its a permanent modification i COULD mess up.So i tested this door handle on the table and set everything up (prepping for the install). This thing registered all my family members and its nice because the large amount of finger prints allowed us to register BOTH hands. This is nice because you NEVER know what hand may be free when carrying things into the house! I also LOVE the RFID tags! Its nice to have that second option where you can just swing your keys in front of it to open it. If it we were able to install them i was going to play around with my phones RFID capabilities to see if i can save the RFID tag into my phones "wallet" and use it as well...We dont have a wifi smart hub and i really dont want to get one, so that limits you to not using any of the wifi features, however bluetooth is still fully supported! The features available for the wifi are really great though but we dont really NEED them so i dont have a real reason to invest in a wifi smart gateway. Its a shame that you have to use one though. We have smart lights in our home (Cync lights) and they dont require a gateway but allow us to control them over the internet. Not sure why these door handles cant do the same.I am looking forward to actually getting this installed though because after playing with it on the table for an hour (setting up and testing features) i realized how much i absolutely DESPISE my Tru Bolt handle... Even more so because i paid 2x more then what THIS door handle costs!!!

I have several fingerprint activated locks. This lock is typical of most, but has some nice features that I haven't seen on others. Installation was straight forward and I did not encounter any issues. Make sure you check your measurements ahead of time that it won't interfere with a deadbolt if you have one on your door. The App is easy to navigate. If you want to have the ability to check status or remotely unlock this you will need to purchase a separate Wifi gateway (typical of most), otherwise you need to be within a few feet of the lock to communicate via Bluetooth. Learning fingerprints was easy, but it only accepted 4 different positions of the finger during the learn. I like when the reader requires more, to give better reliability regardless of finger position. You will have to learn a new fingerprint for each finger you want to use (I usually do the index and thumb on each hand). The fingerprint read overall is fairly accurate. I get an unlock usually on the first read or sometimes up to 3. One of my other locks does not like a dry finger (when you are cold) and won't open. This fingerprint reader did pretty good, but still struggled with the dry finger. One feature I was not aware of is that after several misreads, an alarm goes off and the lock is disabled. This Tamper Alert can be turned off in the App if you don't want to use it. There is also a Privacy feature that basically disables all fingerprints and codes except the Admin. Make sure you set the Admin account up! If you add an optional door sensor, you can get the door status from the lock as well. This lock also comes with a couple of RFID cards that you can put on your keyring. Once you learn each card, all you need to do is swipe it on the lock to open the door. I have mixed feelings about using these - they are very handy and work reliably, but if I lose my keys, someone has an easy way to get in (I don't keep the hard keys on my keyring). This lock can be paired with a wireless door sensor (not included with this model) to get a door status and also lock the door immediately as soon as it is sensed closed.
