When it works it works great however now I’ve lost connection to the controllers WiFi and the app is now telling me to contact Rainbird directly. We are out on vacation and this is the last thing we should be dealing with.

Inkbird's Customer Service Support is a no-nonsense, customer-first organization. I emailed the manufacturer, and before the end of the day, I had a solution to my equipment issue. Thank you for the support on your product.

I got this smart irrigation controller thinking it’d make things easier, but it’s been nothing but trouble. As soon as I changed my WiFi network, the thing either dropped the connection or just wouldn’t reconnect at all during setup. I spent hours trying everything—resetting the router, doing a factory reset on the device—and still nothing worked. In the end, I gave up and switched to something else.Honestly, if you plan on changing your WiFi at any point, stay away from this. The WiFi connection issues are a dealbreaker.

I bought this on the 18th September, 2023 and after installing and setting it up, I was very pleased with how easy it was to program and use, both in scheduled and manual modes. The manual mode was very, very handy when adjusting the sprinkler heads as I could turn each zone on and off remotely, saving a trip back to the garage each time.Almost a year later, I was mystified by a shrill sound coming from the garage which turned out to be the alarm signal from the controller. I unplugged the power supply and due to other commitments, it was a couple of days later before I could do some trouble shooting.When I restored power, it looked like everything was back to normal but after about a minute, the alarm sounded again and the display showed "ti nE- Error", which I now understand means "Time Error". At first I noticed that it was not showing the correct time so I disconnected and reconnected to my wi-fi but the same thing happened. I also rebooted and tried a couple of other things but nothing helped.I then emailed support@inkbird.com, admittedly not expecting too much help but was pleasantly surprised to get a very quick response suggesting some things to try, most of which I had already done.I then was told that they would pass this on to their technical team and was asked for my Amazon Order #, which I duly gave.Shortly after that, I was told that they would send me a new controller and it arrived today. It didn't take long to swap the units over and everything is back to normal.I was very impressed with the level of support I received from Inkbird's Customer Service and would have no hesitation in recommending their products.

Got this at 8:30 am and I had it installed, programmed and working great by 9:15 am and that was stopping a few times to fill the coffee cup! Easy, easy, easy! Replaced a 20+ year Hunter that was working great but didn’t allow me to water and check on my watering while I traveled! For about 40 bucks worth it! We will see how it works over time!

It does allow scheduled and manual irrigation; manual irrigation only runs in the order they are setup meaning zone 1 runs first 2 second ect. you can ask for say zone 5 to run first but it won't 4 runs first if setup to run manually then 5. Not a big issue but something to note. Does not take into account the weather. It is a relatively cheap controller if you can live with the few idiosyncrasies.

Easy to setup. I have had no issues with WiFi. Device is garage kept. I did have a failure at 13 months and within 3 days of initial email to support, I had a new device delivered. This works just as good as a device that costs 2-3x as much from my experience. If you have WiFi issues with it, maybe you need better WiFi coverage, that is not the devices fault. My garage door opener and this device are connected to the same router and I have no issues. I guarantee I’ve saved over $45 in water just by owning this the last 13 months. Worth the cost.
