As mentioned by other reviewers, the unit arrived covered with some kind of sticky film. I spent several minutes cleaning it off with alcohol wipes before it was comfortable to handle. As also mentioned by others, the battery was completely dead. If you plan to purchase this pedometer, order a battery (CR2032) at the same time. These batteries are much more expensive when purchased locally. With all of that said, the unit seems to work properly.

This item is really old. Felt like it had almost melted. Of course, battery dead and corroded.

It will not turn on. Took it out of package and the whole unit is very sticky, front and back. I have know idea what it is! Definitely, want my money back!!!!

The downloadable software is out of date and my system don't recognize it! But besides all of that it works great. However, I bought this item because of the software where I could keep track of my steps. If the seller update the computer software this item would no doubt be five stars.

I followed the instructions and could not get it to turn on. So I plugged it in for 3 Hours . The instructions say it only need 3 hours to fully charge. Still can not get it to turn on.

This step counter is perfect for my mom. She can’t wear many fitness watches because of the heart rate tracking which reacts with her medication. I thought this was a good option that she can either put in her pocket to track daily steps or wear around her neck when going for a walk. She mostly likes to track walking around town. It seems pretty accurate. It matches closely with the steps I get on my wrist watch tracker. It can plug into a PC to offload the data but she doesn’t use that. It has a 7 day history on the device to look back over the week and that is enough for her. I’m glad I found this, it is perfect for her.
