I ordered this Tusionwin camera to be able to check if workers were ever in the house, unsupervised. I found it hard to do what I needed it to do.The instructions were a bit confusing.I could not get the device to record only when there was motion, which is what I was most interested in capturing. It kept taking video every few minutes, regardless of the setting I used.It also needed a lot of ambient light in the room to capture images that were decipherable. The back past of the house is a bit dar, and that is where the workers had been doing things, so it was hard to determine what actions they were taking.It really did not serve the purpose I wanted to use if for.

However, it must remain plugged into a live outlet to function, as it does not have a battery or an alternative power port.The documentation claims that the device does not record audio, making it compliant with Amazon and government policies. I’m not familiar with these policies, so I can't verify this claim. However, it's worth noting that you should ensure your use of the device is legal and appropriate.This camera does not have WiFi or Bluetooth—videos are stored solely on the microSD card (not included). It requires a high-speed microSD card with at least 16 GB of storage. Once inserted, the card is formatted automatically. After formatting, a "Time.txt" file appears on the card, which you must edit to set the correct date and time according to the instructions. The device reads this file upon startup to synchronize its clock.A switch on the back toggles between two recording modes:- Continuous recording: Captures footage non-stop in 5-minute segments, likely to prevent corruption in case of errors.- Motion sensing: Records for 3 minutes each time motion is detected. This mode is more efficient, as continuous recording will fill the storage quickly at 1080p resolution.- Videos can only be accessed by removing the microSD card and using the included card reader. They immediately identified it as a spy camera based on what appeared on the back of the device. To be fair is rather obvious. So the decals intended to cover this area are required if the nature of the device is to remain hidden.Would I have returned this item after trying it? Probably. When I ordered it, I mistakenly expected a webcam, though the listing does clearly label it as a "Spy Camera." That said, the build quality is solid, and it functions as intended. I deducted one star due to the somewhat awkward workflow required to use it.

It took me a few tries to get everything working. Instructions are adequate.Pros:1. It definitely looks like a standard USB charger. I don't think any thief would pay any attention to it.2. Works fairly well in a well-lit room.3. Comes with multiple USB connectors.Cons:1. AVI video will not play on Windows Media Player. Instructions say to download VLC player; video works fine with this.2. Video capture is good in a well lit room. In a dark room, the camera is useless--and if I'm ever robbed, it'll probably be at night, so the practicality of this device is probably limited.3. Camera works poorly on backlit subjects.4. Camera has settings to record continuously or only when motion is detected. I set it to record only when motion occurs, but it begins recording every 3 minutes whether or not anything moves in front of it.
