The cordset is available in a 25′ and 50’ lengths with the SmartPlug connector with a weatherproof seal for the boat side and the industry standard three pin twist-type connector for the marina power pedestal. Shore power connection, this product is not universal, so not available at your local marine store. Also I am just about to order my third 50 ft cable in the last 3.5 years. They don’t last very long. Would go with another product but the receptacle in the boat is unique so that is not an option.

I have these plugs on two boats. Far superior than the twist lock system. Have seen too many fires with the twist lock system caused by lose connections. SmartPlugs are more secure and easier to connect and disconnect. Worth the extra money for safety and convenience.

SmartPlug cord sets, cord caps, and power inlets are such an improvement over the old twist locks. I’d normally get a season or two out of twist lock style cord caps before one blade got nuked by a weak connection and fried. That doesn’t happen with the larger blades and better locking mechanism of the SmartPlug. Sure, you’ll still have L5-30 on the dock side, but it’ll be the dock pedestal that catches fire instead of your boat.
