I can’t find words to describe how fantastic these socks feel! Most women’s socks are sized 9-11 and often times they are too long for my foot, but these fit perfectly. And I love the fact that they are made in the USA.

The packaging says XL fits US Mens 12-14.5, US Womens 13-15.5, Euro 46-49, UK 11-13.5. The sock is narrow, measuring 3 inches across (6 inch circumference). It stretches to a maximum of 5 inches across (10 inch circumference), and the elastic is TIGHT.I wear a men's 12 shoe, and although it fits on my foot I'm unsure about the socks cutting off circulation. My foot didn't turn purple or anything, but its definitely not comfortable to me.

So warm and not too thick. I love smartwool for the quality and different lengths with variety of colors. I recommend hand or delicate cycle washing with wool wash to avoid shrinkage.

I’ve learned that, with socks, you get what you pay for. I prefer socks with a Merino wool blend, year round, because they’re absorbent and keep my feet from becoming “clammy” and for warmth in winter. I also think wool blend socks last much longer than cotton; less likely to get holes in the heels. They are generally more expensive but worth the extra money. These are unisex socks; good for men or women. I chose the basic black color. They are my new “everyday, go-to” sock. They washed and dried well without any fuss. I will definitely be ordering more.

I use these socks at my firefighting job where I am changing into different boots constantly, sweating in them, working out, and doing heavy physical labor. They hold up excellently and have survived many washes. These are now the only socks I’ll buy for work. They are also extremely comfortable and not too hot during the summer.
