I read the reviews and found most were satisfied, so I took a chance and purchased it. I LOVE IT! It's sturdy, grabs onto the arm of the sofa we have, and it doesn't move! I have a sofa with big fluffy arms, and this tray fits on without issue. I had been balancing remotes on the arm, but they tend to fall off easily and its annoying. Now I have this tray and any remote fits on it and stays put. I've also used it to hold my lunch, and a drink, and nothing tipped or spilled. I have balanced my cell phone in the holder and that also works quite well. I could use my iPad in the holder as well, but find that the iPad lays back at more of a slant than I'd like it to. I may end up buying another for my father, who uses the same kind of sofa! He has an end table next to his sofa and uses that for his drink, but when he's using his laptop he often misses the edge of the table (because he's not looking when he places his drink) and drops his drink on the floor. Honestly, I don't recommend balancing a drink of it, unless there is a spill proof cover on it, because when you move around it could still drop.

This does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do. Clamps on the arm of the couch/easy chair with 0 slippage, and just big enough for me to set aside my laptop when I get up, or have my coffee mug available.Very well made and strong grip. Also easy to install the phone holder -- just 1 pin and you're done.Super affordable; saw it at my neighbor's, then got 1 for myself, and then 1 for spouse, and we both love it.I also like that it comes in different finishes. Looks good with different furniture types.

This tray attached well on the recliner. The tray is a lot smaller than expected but it is still large enough to hold a plate and cup. The tray snaps to the arm of the recliner with a spring like clamping. This tray is very sturdy. This was a good buy. I would have appreciated a little more space on the tray as my mother is 94 hearts of age and needed something to hold her plate closer to her for less spills.

This is exactly what I wanted and needed. I live in a full recliner with round, squishy arms that puf out to 12" as you go down to their maximum circumference. The arms on this pad grab and hold perfectly. The pad is 9.5" wide. It's arms come out wider than the pad and get a good, strong grip. My composition notebook fits perfectly on it. Ridges around its edges keep a pad from sliding off when I raise tha angle of my seat, except for the extreme up position when the chair is helping me stand up. This arm tray is strong and well made, a very good value.

These are weighted well and the spring load works great for all kinds of widths of sofa and recliner. I bought them for when company was here as I don't have a coffee table but foot rest. These work well on the foot rest also folded with legs beneath as weighted and fairly stable if used appropriately. I also tried them as bed table rests for on bed when I read and they worked. I clamped it over my sham pillow [folded the sham doubled and clamped the little table over it]. I was pleased with how stable it was and off to the side of me very comfortable to work with but that would be a personal preference. I could see these being used in camping situations [RV] workshop situations where a little table nearby would help [it might work clamped over a sawhorse haven't tried that yet]. My reaction to them is that they are very nice for company, well made, nice tight clamping mechanism that adjusts, easily cleaned surfaces and very versatile for all kinds of things no one's probably thought of yet. I got 3 of them. Every one will be used.

Even though I ended up returning because my husband couldn’t use, the quality was great. The spring loaded legs felt sturdy and tight and it fit the arm of the couch easily. It is beautifully made and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again for another couch or use. One suggestion if I could is the slot for the phone - was too small for my phone with the case on it, so if that was a bit bigger it would have been more useful.

I didn't know how much I'd use one, but after getting one I got them for both sides of all my couches (home and vacation house.) This model is the best because of the clamping feature and anti slip pad on the bottom to fit any size armchair, I have both wide and super narrow couch chair arms n they work perfectly on both. Very happy with the quality and finishing.

It fits well and stays in place. Holds coffee cup well and is very well made. Does make getting out of the chair slightly harder as that arm can’t be used to get up.

This try is nice, but something spilled on it so I washed it in the sink with dish soap and now half the paint came off and it looks terrible.

Love this. Super handy for my remotes and cup of coffee. It is well made and holds to the arm rest well. It fits a 2 inch armrest and a much wider chucky-ish arm rest perfectly. Highly recommend, just don't pinch your fingers, the hinges slam hard! Good item.

I bought two of these trays. Very study, impressive quality. The couch arms they are being used for are very wide, like 9 inches and fits perfectly. I had seen someone mention the tray didn't sit level but that really depends on the couch arm itself. The part that holds the phone/tablet, it will not fit if you have a case on the device. It does allow the device to stand vertically (at least, phone wise) but it worries me that the device may still fall out, more so since I would have had to remove the device's case. Sit it horizontally, works great.
