I needed legal size folders, but oddly, in local box stationary stores they don't seem to sell them any more. I wanted reinforced tabs because on my previous folders that were not reinforced, the tabs seem to very quickly break down and bend over so I can't read them. These Smead folders are very nice, and the reinforced tabs are what I wanted. Oddly, the lavender color was cheaper than other colors, but I don't mind it. The color is pale enough that you can see the writing on it, unlike some of the darker blues, greens and reds I've had in the past.NOTE: My preference would have been for mixed colors in a box, but I couldn't find that anywhere including on Amazon. Everything in legal size/reinforced tabs was single color only. As for value, boy are these things expensive!

I bought these from the warehouse in a damaged box. I love how nice and thick they are. They are expensive and I wouldn't pay regular price for them so I'm glad I found them at the warehouse price.

I am a huge fan of Smead file products. They have been in business for a 100 years, because they have amazing folders that last. I did not need to purchases new folders because old folders were smead as well and still looked new. I just wanted to freshen up my offices. I am in the process of redecorating my home and work offices and the colors help to match my office decor. These folders did not disappoint. I purchased t he Smead file folder, with Reinforced 1/3 cut Tab, Legal size in Gray. Since the file folder are legal sized they are 8.5"X 14". The tab cuts are assorted and on both sides of the folder, so you can place the tabs where you want. The reinforced tab are worth the extra money if the file folders are going to be used daily. I love that Amazon is able to provide different colors, because the local office supplies stores do not carry any others colors than green (ugly office green). The folders arrived at my house the next day. I highly recommended these file folders.

I'm never disappointed with Smead products. These folders are solid, stiff and sturdy. Theyre reinforced so that's a plus, since we file so many documents at the office. The color is gorgeous, and very true to the online image.

We have used these folders in my accounting practice for many years. The extra heavy tab has proved a big benefit as we use these for tax files for several years. Sturdy stock makes us able to use them for an average of 5 years. The only issue I have found is that the extra layer on the edge across the top including the tab (which makes the tab heavy duty) is occasionally not glued well and we have to tape the layer to the file on the edges. This is why I rate the product 4 instead of 5 stars.
