Does the job and good value for money. The elastic to close the file is not super great, if I fill up the file more I probably will need to use something else to close it because the lastic is not big enough.I would buy again. Durability/sturdiness is good for a pproduct that I will put in storage. Maybe not good for someone using the file for every day use because the plastic is thin.

I got this to keep my notes and assignments organized during an especially busy semester, and it works great for that purpose. One reviewer noted that papers stick up and cover the labeled tabs, but I don't have this problem. I did notice that there is a little lip at the bottom of each folder, which papers can get caught on, making them look taller than the depth of the folder. It's a very minor hassle to reach my hand in to make sure my papers aren't caught on this lip, and the go all the way in just fine. I have quite a few paper in there and so far the elastic band is plenty long enough to fasten shut. The little tabs for the labels are differing widths, meaning I had to cut some of the labels to slide them in, but again - just a minor hassle that took 5 seconds to correct. This was well worth the price.

This file folder is perfect for my needs. I buy two each year. At each year's end, I remove all the monthly paperwork from 2 large folios; one for business papers, the other, personal papers. I then file the paperwork in 2 of these expanding files; again, one for business, the other for personal papers. I agree with several comments others have made; the rubber loop closure could be longer. I wasn't able to close the flap with the rubber loop for 2015's paperwork, so I used a very large rubber band. Also, each slot does not have a smooth bottom; there is a seam where two pieces of the plastic come together, creating a kind of "hump," so I do have to work with the paperwork so that it doesn't stick up, which would block the Monthly Tab that follows. All that being said, I use these because the exterior material is sturdy, the divider areas have never ripped even though I pack them like sardines, and I like that the bottom expands. Once they are filled with the previous year's paperwork, I pack them away. I am buying two more for 2016. I probably would not choose these as my every day working file, but they're great for my purpose

This expanding file, or multi-folder, is convenient, compact, and durable. On the inside, there are twelve different slots to put files in, where each slot is large enough to fit A4 paper without it hanging over the edge. On the outside, the cover is strong enough to protect the contents without breaking or snapping. I have owned one of these folders for nearly two years and have minimal problems.The only problem I have had with this multi-folder is with the string that is used to keep the folder closed. As it is used more and more, it stretches out. As time went by, I noticed I had to wrap the string more and more to have the same tension. This is a problem that is very common amongst folders such as these. I have never owned an expanding file that did not have this problem.The design of the folder will allow you to put hundreds of different papers inside of it without stretching any of the outside material. As the interior is packed more and more, the flap will change position to accommodate the extra girth. There are multiple creases at the top that are designed to "take over" when needed. This is similar in design to other kinds of folders.In my opinion, using this folder is more convenient and more intelligent than using multiple single-folders. It offers a way to consolidate everything without sacrificing any ease, reliability, or efficiency. It actually makes your organization easier and more efficient. Everything you would need for all of your classes would be in this multi-folder, for example. It will also hold more, per pocket, than a single folder would, and it would take less space than 12 packed single-folders would.Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a reliable and durable multi-folder.

I am very happy with my purchase of this Expanding file folder. I use it to hold printed out coloring sheets for my three year old son. It is well made and my son likes that he can open it easily and get out the sheets he wants (I made little tab labels with markers of shapes so he can know what kind of page is under what section) and close it back up easy. I like that it keeps the mess down and keeps the pages from getting bend edges and wrinkled up before he has a chance to use them. It holds a LOT of pages. I will definitely buy this again. I also keep a few thin packs of markers and crayons in it in the front for him if we want to take it with when we go out to eat. It would work great for home office or mobile office also. I used to do testing at various locations and wish I had this then.

Let me start off by saying that I am a college student and I have A LOT of a papers. Most of which are never properly organized. This expanding file helped me solve that problem. I've had a couple of expanding files before that I bought from Staples. But they would never be able to stay together (mostly my fault considering I treat these things a little rough). I've treated this expanding file the same way I have my other ones for the past two weeks and it has surprisingly withstood the abuse. It's also still survived after placing 20+ sheets each of Organic Chemistry papers, Biology Lab and OChem Lab papers, as well my Japanese class papers in it. I would actually consider this expanding file the most sturdy of all the ones that I own. However, at some point these things can break because they are held together by a thin layer plastic between each slot. Be aware of that fact. Most people seem to think that these things are invincible when they are clearly not. Every product has a limit. Anyways, this is great for college students who need to get organized and also be able to carry all of their papers with them.
